ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

avoid retail .... suggest you walk down your high street and look at the empty units, and there's more and more to come .... on-line has some protection as no silly rent to pay, but peeps still need to be employed - less and less of them too - and money to spare on something more expensive than a bar of chocolate

tomasz - 12 Mar 2009 11:09 - 2436 of 5941

cynic, you're not about high-street-shop-business here..you remember that?:))
same as 4x4 porsche cayenne goes diffrently then ford mondeo in the mud..right?:))

Agree with your comment and as I'm in these from early days of 50p am happy to hold. if my daughter and her friends are anything to go by (19yrs old) they have no value of money what so ever. They see it, I want it syndrome prevails, worry about tomorrow when it comes. I can't believe you wait until a company is half way up the ladder, and not take a chance (calulated agreed) when it's blossoming.

cynic - 12 Mar 2009 11:28 - 2438 of 5941

as my daughter works in the fashion industry, and in my youth i also worked there, i have a pretty good insight into its current dire straits ..... i like restaurant stocks, but in the present climate, i won't go near those either

tomacz
read what i actually wrote, not what you think i wrote

interesting chart ..... pretty much self-explanatory as are the potential support levels .... the black line is 200 dma, so perhaps significant that hass now been breached with reasonable impetus, though volumes look quite low, but this is a fairly illiquid stock

there was always diffrence between investing and speculation and always will be :)))

tomasz - 12 Mar 2009 12:06 - 2441 of 5941

balerboy you've got amazing investment to hold asc from 50.a proper one.i wish that was me..just hope you get out at 400 and get in again at 200

Balerboy - 12 Mar 2009 12:19 - 2442 of 5941

I didn't see the last fall coming and in hindsight wish I'd sold half at the last 410p, thats life.
Cynic, it sounds as if you never speculate, what percentage of your investments are long as opposed to shorts if it's not a rude question.

cynic - 12 Mar 2009 12:27 - 2443 of 5941

i see no difference ..... certainly much less of a difference than between oblige and obligate .... is an "active investor" a trader or a speculator or an investor, and what;s the difference? ..... all broadly pay the same taxes

tomasz - 12 Mar 2009 12:44 - 2444 of 5941

cynic, an investor pay more.. :)))

cynic - 12 Mar 2009 12:45 - 2445 of 5941

no one buys at the top intentionally, though we all seem to be experts at doing just that

tomasz - 12 Mar 2009 12:47 - 2446 of 5941

and warren buffet pay taxes the most..:))

tomasz - 12 Mar 2009 13:13 - 2447 of 5941

290 is a bottom rather then the top isn't?:))) so, not we all.. cynic..:)))

cynic - 12 Mar 2009 14:25 - 2448 of 5941

who says 290 is the bottom? .... it may be, but there are plenty of reasons why it sp could easily fall through that

Balerboy - 12 Mar 2009 14:28 - 2449 of 5941

It sounds like you've shorted this one already.... beware tomasz

tomasz - 12 Mar 2009 14:29 - 2450 of 5941

there is no rational reason

cynic - 12 Mar 2009 14:31 - 2451 of 5941

bullseye .... go to the top of the class .... and yes, i have said many times that i have shorted this stock and the reasons for it

tomasz - 12 Mar 2009 14:34 - 2452 of 5941

i would never go short on asc now.suicide:))

tomasz - 16 Mar 2009 12:42 - 2453 of 5941

Balerboy - 16 Mar 2009 21:30 - 2454 of 5941
