I had a trawl of the deviseland site and it would appear that even PM is resigning himself to a buyout.
Fat cigars and pats on the back for the NEW NEW directors, a job well done in lining their own pockets?
The future is GREEN(backs) for some.
Unfortunately not me.
I need 5p for evens.
Not very happy.

So if PM and others are right about present the production figures for Biotec (not to mention the predicted future production) this company has to be seriously undervalued on Biotec income alone, which begs the question why arn't the existing institutional shareholders(who are supposedly better informed than us ?)topping up.Is there a possibility that this scenario has been overlooked or is nobody interested in this stock until serious firm news breaks? If you look at the potential for Biotech alone the share price should be flying(this is not the Greenseal hype of a few years ago )but a real boiplastics play producing the goods (Just look at the SPhere sites)but NO it's in the doldrums. Why I ask myself. To be perfectly frank I have no idea what is going on but if it was transparent it wouldn't be SEO.Answers on a postcard.Cold and damp in Cork.Confused PAD.

sadly I think you're right and if Biotec production was flying this year Schroders for one would know. If you were the key Schroders contact for the SEO relationship what would one of the 1st questions be? It would certainly be what is the planned income for 2007 and where will this come from? Unfortunately for SEO Biotec is the only worthwhile income stream but they would have had to give Schroders some reasonably acccurate guidance.
re. the research PM has done re. Biotec output it all looks genuine and well intentioned however I think there are differing understandings of what constitutes capacity, production and the lead times to establish the former. I think between Biotec, Sphere and SEO there is a lot of confusion around production. There are also some very hopeful assumptions around the time taken to establish new capacity. Also if Sphere do say they will increase capacity significantly this will take a minimum of several months to as much as 2 years+, several months if they have plant availalble that can be converted, 2 years if they have to build & commission a new plant from scratch.

Stanelco
BRYAN JOHNSTON
1.16p Unchanged
Scotsman says BUY
STANELCO uses radio frequency (RF) applications for a range of services, from welding to the building of fibre-optic furnaces.
One of its RF applications is used for packaging nuclear waste as safely as possible. It has also branched out in a more commercial direction to use RF welding under the GreenSeal brand to seal food trays. Stanelco also operates under the FrogPack brand, which provides packaging for fragile items such as glass and liquids.
Stanelco's products are being trialled with Asda, whose parent company is the mighty US giant Wal-Mart. It is also rumoured that McDonald's is considering Stanelco's products.
Unfortunately, although the company's revolutionary sealing process's intellectual properties have been confirmed, the move to commercial reality is proving challenging. Indeed, Stanelco's share price has collapsed from 24p to about 1p over the past 12 months.
The group's cash burn is quite high and it was obliged to raise some 16 million last October through a placing and open offer. The latest set of results did not offer much encouragement either, if heavily distorted by the company's restructuring.
Even so, Stanelco's loss of 15m, against a loss of 3.3m last year, was appreciable and the group's survival cannot be guaranteed.
On the other hand, the developing campaign against the proliferation of plastic bags suggests that alternative methods of sealing and packaging are under serious consideration.
I am a shareholder in Stanelco, normally an overwhelming burden for any quoted company but, for those prepared to take the real risk that this investment implies, the rewards could be considerable.
The value of your investment could fall and you may get back less than you invested. You should take professional advice if you have any doubt about the suitability of this company for your portfolio.

Is this still true? It is now over a year since the 'exclusivity' expired. I'd assumed ASDA had given up on Greenseal - surely the trials have long since finished.
Looks to me like an article by a canny SCOT - he admits to being a shareholder. Tryong to raise the SP a little before he bails out, maybe? Getting desparate, like me!
