Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Sorry - me again. Here's the thing! On the most, but not all! chart frames, but incl UKX/DGE/CNE in terminal the graph refreshes to the current time - then at the next refresh it reverts to 8.30am, then current time, then 8.30 etc etc. I know it sounds weird but this really is happening. Help!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 09 Sep 2004 10:25 - 2456 of 7315

Helen,

Do not worry, this is something that we are looking at at this end - it would seem that although a chart is being displayed correctly, when it is refreshed several times it will show a 'stuck' 8.30 chart - therefore as the terminal is set to refresh these charts, this is why you are seeing this.

JT is taking a look and I will let you know when this has been resolved.

IAN. Compass Group (CPG) had a nonsensical 5-day and streaming chart yesterday. Today the streaming is OK but the 5-day is still haywire.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Sep 2004 09:38 - 2458 of 7315

Maggot,

I will get someone to take a look.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Sep 2004 09:56 - 2459 of 7315

Maggot,

I have spoken to JT, and unfortuantely, it would appear that due to the fact that we have lost data there will be no way to recover this data. The intraday and streaming and other historical charts should be fine.

Many apologies for this.

Ian

Thanks, Ian.

Dil - 11 Sep 2004 00:34 - 2461 of 7315

I'm getting peed off with asking you to sort out the search facility so I won't bother mention it again until next year.

Kayak , lets sod off to ADVFN :-)

Spaceman - 11 Sep 2004 02:01 - 2462 of 7315

Dil, I think the search is a bit poor but just about usable, the advfn one is completely useless however.

MAM how about doing something with the search it was discussed about a year ago and a lot of good ideas were offered but nothing seems to have happened. How about an update?

Dil - 11 Sep 2004 08:36 - 2463 of 7315

Spaceman your joking aren't you ?

Type in threads started by Dil and see what you come up with . What part of the ADVFN one doesn't work ?

Kayak - 11 Sep 2004 10:28 - 2464 of 7315

Dil, the screen is mislabelled. When you type threads started by Dil you actually get a list of threads that have been posted to by Dil. In fact this is more useful (well, not in this example of course :-) ) so just bear it in mind.

Dil - 11 Sep 2004 12:53 - 2465 of 7315

lol ok , well it can't be too hard to change the name on a button can it ?

Now try BGY in the epic field , usually I get nothing whatever epic I type but on this occasion I got one thread returned on BGY but not the one I wanted.

Spaceman - 11 Sep 2004 13:13 - 2466 of 7315

Dil, that problem explained by Kayak was one of the things discussd about a year ago, it could be improved just by renaming the option, simple but it has not been done. The ADVFN search has almost no options at all, at least the MAM one has a few. Both are very poor in my view, but searching and indexing does use a lot of computer resource so I guess neither is likely to do anything about it.

MightyMicro - 11 Sep 2004 18:58 - 2467 of 7315

OK, I suppose that I'd better own up.

The search facility was added quite late to the BB software and there were a number of proposals to finish it properly but it got pushed down the stack of things to do by other enhancements.

Of course, a Mr Bullshare of this parish is the authority for what gets done and when, mainly because he pays for it. And he may welcome the opportunity to shut Dil up as well (fat chance :)

Bullshare - 11 Sep 2004 20:31 - 2468 of 7315

Dil personally I think you must be sad if you put your own name in to search for your own postings:-) but JT is back Tuesday so lets take a look at the search function then :-)

Martini - 11 Sep 2004 20:38 - 2469 of 7315

and dont forget the case sensitive epic search
