stuff ek, he cant manipulate markets to the extent peeps believe......but maybe THAT is the word. BELIEVE. EK shorts, it goes down, peeps sell. how he must be laughing at the lemmings. ( all the way to the bank ). i sold out today for 15.25p and a fairly large loss. nothing to do with EK, i have thought ( and posted ) that this has risen too high too fast over the last few months. but if there is one market cliche that you can rely on ( especially when market/shares are falling ), LET THE TREND BE YOUR FRIEND.
i have no idea where the bottom might be, so i will carry on doing what ive always done. TRADE the thing when times are right.

the story remains good.....

ethel - 04 Apr 2005 14:41 - 2453 of 27111

Look how far he's driven down MMG so far, amongst other companies that are nose diving today.
This is utterly ridiculous.Investing/trading has become gambling, pure and simple.
My grandfather thought it obscene to profit from shares trading. He thought that the dividend was enough to warrant investing in a company that he believed in and wanted to support.
I have learnt my lesson with SEO...buy on expectation and sell on news??The expectation has come to fruition,so will it all be sells from now on every time there is good news?I can't believe that scenario.
Does EK know something about the cc that we don't know?
At least this is a painful way of testing support levels.

mickeyskint - 04 Apr 2005 14:47 - 2454 of 27111

I know this does not apply to SEO but the principle of what's going on does. From ADVFN.

goatherd, I remember SC offering you a wager (was it on TDM?) and giving you his phone number. Did you talk to him then?

I very much dislike his methods but you have to admit that he is clever.
My three biggest holdings are MMG, Asia Energy and Neteller. All of them are up substantially this year. I have done well and need to take out profits at as high a level as possible. Others will be in the same position and SK knows it. So, in the last two weeks of March he puts out scare stories on all three shares which his followers (knobwipers as my friend calls them) pick up on. The stories do not need to have any substance, just be vaguely plausible. He shorts the shares and advertises the fact on BB's, T1ps.com and even gets mentioned in the mainstream newspapers. Enough sells go through to tip the share graph over the top. His reputation is such that weak holders start to panic and the shares drop again. That triggers more stop losses and finally, those like me are forced to sell some, however reluctantly, because I have to grab my 8200 CGT allowance and there is only one day left. So down they go a bit more and SK closes out for a nice profit.
There is no point moaning about it. All appears to be legal (just). You just have to learn from what has happened and handle it better next year.

None of this effects the fundamental story at MMG though and as soon as the tax date passes, SK will have gone and the shares will climb away again. So, if you are thinking of buying some, now could be an ideal time imo.
Don't forget, Mr Best, the CEO, has said that, in the Genvax trial, no-one has died when half the people should have done by now. Also 18 of the 25 now have no signs of cancer. These results are not officially released by Cancer Research UK yet but the leak looks rock solid.
What an opportunity.

Xylos.

No one wanted to listen to me when I posted earlier about the price.

Well don't say I didn't warn you all.

superrod - 04 Apr 2005 14:54 - 2456 of 27111

my belief is that shorting should be illegal. it creates fear and a false market to the advantage of those with bottomless pockets.

Jumpin - I dont think your comment is very helpful !!

But my comments before 'were' very helpful.. I got lots of nasty comments hurled at me.. oh but I was wrong and the sky was the limit and it couldn't ever go down could it...

i take issue...I SAID the same as you ( and have just posted as much ). MAYBE its your delivery that needs addressing. any share that has gone up 3 or 400% is ripe for a slagging. it just depends how you do it.

ie if you are that smart , why arent you on the beach looking at your yacht?

Chiva20 - 04 Apr 2005 15:10 - 2460 of 27111

I second that Superrod, I find your opinions are constructive Jumpin. It's always best to get a diverse perspective of what's going on, you should take any personal comments with pinch of salt but if your opinion is against the masses you should pick your comments carefully or you're bound to antagonise some people

ethel - 04 Apr 2005 15:25 - 2461 of 27111

Thanks,Mickeyskint...I bought on the good news,so no more money to invest at nice, new low sp of ...???To repeat, new lesson learnt but it hurts!!!
Sentiment can change drastically in a very short period of time, can't it?

bhunt1910 - 04 Apr 2005 15:41 - 2462 of 27111

Jump[in - My comment was not so much aimed at the fact that you thought the share price was too high ( your views are as welcome as those who have an alternative view - so long as based on facts and analysis) - more at the fact that there are a lot of investors who beleive in this share - as i do - and who think it will go higher - as I do - but also acknowledge that shares do not always go up in a straight line - and that there will be corrections along the way. - I guess I dont like my face being rubbed in it when the price falls - especially as I bought yesterday at 16.9. But hey ho I have bought some more at 14.25. I am in for the long term and I still beleive that barring mishaps along the way the fundamentals are good and that the share price will rise.

I also beleive that there is more news to come on the other products that SEO have developed andf this will keep the sp buoyant over the next few months.

bosley - 04 Apr 2005 16:01 - 2466 of 27111

three months ago you could get into seo for sub 6p. the recent rise has been meteoric. it was due a retracment. but nothing has changed. seo is still a winner. i bought more on friday, i wish i had waited a day longer. but im not worried for the simple reason that this ek bollocks will soon be over . well done to those who shat and sold, you've made a rich man, who lives and breathes negativity, richer and more powerful. those of you who are worried about investing in seo should take a look at todays trades. considering todays drop, there is little difference in buys and sells. that tells me that a lot of people see this as a good buying opportunity.

Who said it couldn't ever go down, we have always acknowledged that it could even our Guru bos said a share never goes up in a strait line, its just the sharpness that hurts a bit, but like we have always said on this board any drop is a buying opportunity.
I just wonder what you are going to say when it creeps back up to 18p in the next week or so or even days.
bos you got in before me again.

I see a lot of you must have seen the evil one and then bought back in, nothing will ever scare you as much after what you have seen today.
