Company has been conducted. The results of that review were presented to the

Cash at end of 2006 was 12.9m, cash at end of April 2007 was 11m: 1.9 in 4 months........burn rate seems to have been unaffected.

Each to their own Micky but for me its too long to wait and I've put the hours in researching elsewhere. Unless something happens soon the offset looks favourable.

Anyone feel they are being shafted by the new administration?
The RNS issued today portrayed only negative information regarding SEO ; & that by someone who has only been in the job for just over a month (following a strategic review by a bunch of mates from the City no doubt).
Seems like the idea is to drive down the SP ;secure options at ludicrously low levels & then sell on the company via an MBO or straight sale to Sphere.
What have the large investors (eg)Schroeders) to lose; as they bought in mainly at 0.7p.
Scandalous.

Well said Cantlose, the thought had crossed my mind, but considered it far too obvious to be a realistic tactic.
I would love to think that the new management are biting the bullet and wiping the slate clean, but have been disappointed too many times on this one!

Micky,
You may be right re the big players not selling, but we need a couple of days to be sure as if they put their holdings out to sale, they may drip feed into the market without a news release for 48 hours. Also they may not show as traded for the same time span.
As for the question someone asked re where is the panic when buys were almost up with sells and why. The answer is day traders. Some will have bought at -0.6p and sold at +0.7p. A few 100,000 at that still makes a tidy profit.
Yesterday SEO was a day traders dream. (I did not day trade, mores the pity).
As to my view of SEO. It has always been a sky high or bust share and I bought on that understanding. And yes it looks like the bust side will win, but if you go into a share with this philosophy, you take the knocks as you go.
Several years ago I learned the hard way, that you don't put anything but spare money into a share like SEO. A bit like a horse race, don't put more on than you can afford to loose.
Yes I am well down at the moment by percentage but not at a huge money loss (my average buy is 7.2p). For those who have little or no sympathy with those showing big losses fair enough as that is the name of the game, BUT I can't understand those who gloat (of course most of the gloater's saw it coming and got out with huge profits, yer right).
As said I learned the hard way. But we all have to learn.
Show me an investor/trader who says they always get it right and I will show you a lier.

Micky,
My own feeling is to keep clear, but best of luck anyway.
With 8 mins to go to opening I have never seen the order book for SEO so empty. No doubt everyone is just waiting for the first market maker to give an opening lead. Treading very lightly, and tip toeing springs to mind.

The trouble with investment is it is easy to believe it is a gamble- NO it isn't!
Where the "gamble element" occurs is the way the Market alters prices. You hear of a fire in some far-off land and local companies are unafected, even though they may have lost deliveries for months - but the Market doesn't yet know it. Similarly you hear grandiose predictions for a new product with trials expected soon and the sp rises to unbelievable levels - buying at any time is a gamble (due to the Market twists) and is more-so if the sp is high compared with "profits, turnover etc" - just look at many new AIM-entries to see fully-valued stock!
Now with SEO we had a competant company (in Ultrasonics), who saw a new market...they explained the change to investors and started research.....so it is not unreasonable for SEO to spend money not yet earned. The idea (in investors' minds) would be to get Reports on progress, but we have ( er, IMHO.), been fed half-truths, or RNS based on very little - almost to the extent that BB's have been creating the news....yet the sp kept falling because by any reaading of the SEO report and accounts...nothing was hapening....we punters were being fed annual reports of "soon" and ..."Next year/Quarter"... until their major investors could stand it no longer and the New Exec was installed.....naturally he has to Report and this takes time - Why does the sp react badly to the Truth?......that same truth caused other punters to sell-out years earlier....
The facts as I see it are simple - management was not suited to the role of research, nor development, nor sales (since the product was "iffy")...in truth they had no product and very little prospect of success - that's why (with the truth on the table), the sp is getting close to the cash. But note thast they are still 5x face value!!!
This company could go to AIM and that will cause some selling - or maybe some bright nutter will suggest a consolidation - the last refuge of bad management ( er, I mean where they have overseen joining the 90% club etc.).
I note that institutions paid 0.8p for shares recently, so not very far from today's price - were they aware of the poor prospects?
I doubt it, SEO-Management must have had their suspicions but until the truth is out (for all to see, as now), Execs can huff and puff that "...all is being moved forward...."
What is a real gamble IMHO, is that the Management you are paying for - is truthful and adept at getting the business out of blind-alleys, dark holes etc. Research isn't easy" - and it needs a skill that (evidently) SEO lacked - the dishonest thing is to keep quiet....which is what many think happened.
-+-It is surprising that ASDA didn't pull the plug ages ago, but I was always concerend that the Trials seemed to be so low-key and even suspicious that ASDA was buying silence - - - by signing-up to SEO it effectivly stopped their competitors getting to the discussions, if that makes sense.
Soon SEO will be a bargain - but for whom?
-Oh the darkened room.
-Nurse! Where's my medication?
