Bloody hell im lost.......

.....help?

little woman - 20 Oct 2003 16:39 - 2460 of 23498

Hello all, please put something a bit stronger in my coffee! I just had a Victor Meldrew moment, when talking on the phone I looked out across my postage stamp back garden to watch a rather large, extremely fat rat amble across it as if it didn't have a care in the world! I live in the sticks, so where did it come from?

I blame the council. (Not sure if its the Hampshire County Council, East Hampshire Council or the local Parish Council - all of whom I contribute).
They introduced fortnightly collections, alternating normal rubbish (green bin) and green rubbish (black bin) at the beginning of the year, and the vermin is obviously very happy about it.

Golddog - 20 Oct 2003 16:44 - 2461 of 23498

Hi littlewoman, We have rats here too at the Cafe and i usually go out at night and ring their necks so as soon as i have found where i am i will be round to eradicate your mouse problem (i will require a Bods).

stockbunny - 20 Oct 2003 16:46 - 2462 of 23498

GD - Follow your nose back to the tea-shop!!!!
LW - That's horrible I'm getting goose bumps up my back in sympathy - yuck nasty ratty things - have you got a neighbour with a compost heap (large and not fully contained) or a neighbour with chickens? Only those can bring the little horrors sniffing about.
Ahh JeffMack - Buy you a beer??????
((((((Bunny's off home now - doubtful I'll be in tomorrow, so probably see you all on Wed.))))))))))

Golddog - 20 Oct 2003 16:50 - 2463 of 23498

bye bye bunny or as i like to say bbb

Right sniff sniff! Yes i can smell Socks socks from here so it must be this way!

little woman - 20 Oct 2003 16:56 - 2464 of 23498

I don't anyone near by has chickens, but I do have a compost heap, but it only has plant life.

There is a large drainage pipe the other side of the road, in a ditch, but hidden by lots of overgrowth. Last year a fox brought up a family in the pipe, I suppose the rats could have taken it over.

Golddog, don't have any bods, but plenty of wine available. White or red?

Golddog - 20 Oct 2003 17:01 - 2465 of 23498

Im a red wine man myself, ernst & gallo will be fine. Dont worry about the rat problem i dare say littlewille gets the same problem but with elephants!

Found my way back to the Cafe, so im off into my basket for a well earned kip.

Socrates - 20 Oct 2003 17:06 - 2466 of 23498

little woman
It has been said that you are rarely much more than six feet from a rat in this country. By the way, if you go down to the cafe cellar make sure you have elastic bands around the bottom of your trouser legs.

This_is_me - 20 Oct 2003 17:44 - 2467 of 23498

LW Are you going to invest the money you fleeced of the SA supporters in wiggs or pdl?

Accomodation wanted.

One elderly Milwall supporter wants B&B. Landlady must be able to speak Japanese or proper English, a couple of good-looking daughters an advantage. Willing to share (with daughters or attractive female guests)

Mega Bucks - 20 Oct 2003 18:35 - 2469 of 23498

little willie - 20 Oct 2003 19:02 - 2470 of 23498

TIM...Total collected so far is rand 850, problem is that I can't remember who I made bets with so I'm relying on their honesty to come forth and volunteer. Naive or what!

Small Lady, rats love compost heaps even if only plant life, veggie rats!

Dawg...must be a sod having to buy two pairs of socks at a time.

jeffmack - 20 Oct 2003 19:31 - 2471 of 23498

TIM
Couldnt have phrased it better myself.

Socrates - 20 Oct 2003 19:46 - 2472 of 23498

Somebody mention Socks?

Hello all. I thought it might be a good idea to have a pyjama party tonight but it's getting a bit parky. So I'll stick with having a cuppa and an ostrich burger. Tastes like chicken so I'm told.

hilary - 20 Oct 2003 20:31 - 2473 of 23498

You wear pyjamas, Socs?
