Good morning is anyone around, not to sure today, long stop in on cable

Hi Divetime, hope you managed to close your long position for a minimal loss. I opened 2 short positions yesterday on cable from 1.9277, one to close today and one to run until friday. Power has been off here all morning which is a bit scary when you have trades open but thats where protective stops me into their own isnt it. I've just managed to get back on line using a generator I brought a few months back to see that I'm 60 odd points up.

Time to move my stop down and try running the heating and some lighting.

Hi Splat, not a bad 'un thanks (got twin TFTs from the misses) but as you can see I,m currently online by gene power alone. If I add too much load (e.g the kettle) the beast cuts out. Not an ideal trading set up but I have a tight stop on todays trade so fairly relaxed. How was the break for you?

Excellent cheers Neil. Am now 40 as of Xmas Day! My two brothers have come up from London and Middlewich and we had quite a party last night :((
Nice to see them tho'! Have made back 30% of my big loss from the other day, so can't complain.

Niel nice trade,I got stopped out of my long, went short got stopped out on a spike, stop to close, and of course down it went, so not a good day for me!.

Happy new year forex traders, sorry Im a bit of a lurker but Im a bit shy in real life too

I only trade forex, gold and the dow as having a full time job I found when trading shares I don't have enough time for proper research. I have just been doing my year end trading totals and found that I have made money this year for the first year since I started active trading four years ago.

But it could have been so much better as my figures show that my forex winnings are 3k more than my dow losses which in real terms means that if I had left the dow alone I would have made more from trading than the gross salary for my day job. I don't think I need to explain what my new years resolution is.

Waiting to see if Cable drops thro 1.90 before opening New year trading

Tried a small long this morning myself and was out for -35. Not a good start to the new year. Back tomorrow AM hopefully for a win..

shorted cable at 1.9016, closed at 1.8998 like a muppet and watching it down at 1.8960 !

2 good shorts and 1 long on cable this morning. but how far back up is the USD/JPY going to pull (hopefully 103.9 ish)

Support at the last of support or more downside. If we get downside it could be more pronounced than the upside but the upside may be overdue?
I am sure that skiing in Canada over the last two weeks was easier than this.

yep, short for me at the moment as well.

Still not traded. looking to go long on cable below 8710. (If it happens before 12 when I am off to play golf)

Stopped out for +37 Been a Bearish week so far.

Got stopped out on that spike for +25 (x2).
Still holding one short open with a wider stop with the aim of closing friday
