Well, in this case it may have been pointed out to them by Sphere, Kim!

Sphere seem well-placed to make this happen (using Biotec) - SEO would benefit without too much involvement, or opportunity, hopefully, to 'male it up'.

edited in view of Greeks post below - now I'm off to the Male It Up Inn for a pint or two!

Mad Pad - 13 Jun 2007 14:04 - 24747 of 27111

I think we all believe the ace in the pack is Biotec, just wondering how Stanelco are going to manage to screw this one up as well,if they allready havn't!Tempted to buy a few mill.,but the Biotec scenario looks to good to be true so it probably is,so will hold off for a while.

greekman - 13 Jun 2007 14:08 - 24748 of 27111

Sorry Oblomov,

But you can't say Cock Up anymore (see The Talk to Yourself Thread last week, post 5973) you have to say Male it up.
Wash your mouth out with soap.
I have a good mind to report you to the thought Police

I promise to get back to being sensible when I have something to talk about re SEO.

hewittalan6 - 14 Jun 2007 07:59 - 24749 of 27111

Been tryring to do some research on silos and the only thing I came up with is that "silos" is an anagram of "i loss", so its probably true :-(
Alan

oblomov - 14 Jun 2007 08:21 - 24750 of 27111

Alan, I did some research on SPhere and all I could come up with was that 'sphere' is an anagram of 'herpes'!

I'm still hopeful something good will come of this, though, SPwise.

kimoldfield - 14 Jun 2007 09:58 - 24751 of 27111

Oblo, is SPwise an invitation for another anagram? we Pi*S?, in the wind perhaps?

hewittalan6 - 14 Jun 2007 10:53 - 24752 of 27111

The conspiracy theory deepens.
Stanelco is an anagram of "lets con A"
Speaking as one of the Alans of the world, this is worrying..................

oblomov - 14 Jun 2007 10:56 - 24753 of 27111

Probably, Kim - but like I said, I'm hopefull.

Strange, but since around the time of the open offer and a bit before I was pretty pessimistic when most others here were going through a positive phase - Alan and his ASDA cricket playing pal. Eric and Schroders, etc.

Now I seem to be alone in thinking something good can come out of all this mess.

The way I see it is SEO have hit rock bottom now and can only go up. The core business is functioning as well as ever and the SP is very low considering that.

Paul Mines has drawn a line under the past. Why would he have taken on the job at the time he did if things were as dire as it seems, unless he could see a future?

He has put a stop on the MMP's and Greenseal - a brave decision and not one he would take unless he saw a more profitable direction to take the company in.

I really think those who sold out after the latest drop in SP have got it wrong - with the Sphere/Biotec position the SP could rise dramatically from its current position over the next year or two, though probably not to its former dizzy heights.

And speaking of anagrams - dont forget STANELCO is an anagram of CANT LOSE,
lol.

blanche - 14 Jun 2007 10:58 - 24754 of 27111

Also anagram of `act no sel` which just about sums it up

kimoldfield - 14 Jun 2007 11:35 - 24755 of 27111

It is also an anagram of 'nose talc'. Could this be a revolutionary new product, are SEO at last ready for global domination? Or will they 'pick' something else??

minordetail - 14 Jun 2007 15:04 - 24756 of 27111

STEAL - CON

Oilywag - 14 Jun 2007 18:22 - 24757 of 27111

No, the best one is "Cant lose"!!!

The oily one

oblomov - 14 Jun 2007 18:30 - 24758 of 27111

I'm sure I read that one before, Oily. Oh yes, there it is in my last post! lol

kimoldfield - 14 Jun 2007 21:25 - 24759 of 27111

"Last cone"? Former management seen driving ice cream van around Southampton.

Mad Pad - 15 Jun 2007 07:41 - 24760 of 27111

"Nose Talc"(Bolivian marching powder),now there's a profitable business!Not to be snorted at.

bhunt1910 - 15 Jun 2007 09:44 - 24761 of 27111

sorry - this is a blatant ad. I have just switched into TMC. It appears to have a very healthy future and dos not seem to have been picked up by many PI's yet.

Quite illiquid, quite volotile - but huge possibilities in the zinc market. Has been driven up to 500 on speculation and dropped back down to 410 by shorters - but looks like it is on a recovery now. Was 100 6 months ago

Please DYOR

hangon - 15 Jun 2007 13:31 - 24763 of 27111

Let's explore alternative markets for SEO - ones that stand unblemished, undamaged by SEO involvment.
Could they use waste materials: _ thinks _tyres, glass, plastic (er, let's leave that one to TDM for membership of 99% club)? and as others here have suggested chalk (there being a lot of in in the UK and a chalk-mine need not fear the Carbon Police, compared with Coal.)
So that's it then - chalk + Pototo starch and weld a lid on it - wow! a new range of products for customers that don't yet exist, so ideal for SEO, since any bad news on pricing, delivery cannot be addressed!
With luck punters will tip more money in and maybe a Rights Issue (aimed at those in the Know), so lots of Loy all round - er, until the product gets close to market....if earlier patterns continue.
Now a Name for this new package...how about "Snapper" ?
Yes that OK,- it is non-specific and sounds exciting, IMHO.

#Grr!

greekman - 15 Jun 2007 13:44 - 24764 of 27111

Hangon,

You been on those magic mushrooms again.

bhunt1910 - 15 Jun 2007 14:14 - 24765 of 27111
