Kim,

surely the question is whether Stanelco share 50% of Biotec profit. If they do, they dont need to be mentioned specifically - Biotec = 50% Stanelco.

Please excuse my present positive position! If you read back through the thread you'll see that prior to the 'silo' news I had been very negative since before the open offer when many of you were still positive.

I'd previously based my hopes on Greenseal, and it was obvious last year that was going nowhere. This new development is much more exciting and , it would appear at the moment, there is less that could go wrong. A firm time-scale has been set.

Of course, there is one thing that could go wrong.....

DYOR!

kimoldfield - 21 Jun 2007 11:31 - 24816 of 27111

Oblo, knowing SEO's history of getting things right, right means wrong in their case, it wouldn't surprise me too much to find out that they had overlooked some clause which would exclude them from future deals between Sphere and Biotec! Looking on the bright side though, maybe SEO could Starpol wrap potatoes at source to keep them fresh prior to delivery to Biotec's shiny new silos, after all they wouldn't want to fill them with rotten potatoes, would they?

johnc376 - 21 Jun 2007 11:40 - 24817 of 27111

I've lost my undies on this share having a substantial holding in an ISA. Still holding this worthless C---. Surely this company has an obligation to it'd shareholders to inform them what is going on regarding Biotec etc especially as there website is at present like their share price. RUBBISH

tweenie - 21 Jun 2007 12:39 - 24818 of 27111

won't be buying a single further share until a deal is on paper and it is blatantly obvious that SEO are still a player with a 50% stake of a profit, as opposed to a 100% ownership of an RNS and past record that I would'nt wipe my privates with.
If the business is NASCENT and a RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE then there is a long upside........ Given the position and cost of an SEO share these days, I somehow doubt I'll miss the boat should it blue sky.
At present it's all still very much JAM TOMORROW..............

here we go again.
:-)

Hi Alan,

Re your Post 24803. I think it's a fairly good summing up, but as you say things still not clear (if the waters get any muddier, it will solidify).
The mushroom scenario for investors linger on.

Also your comment remember (in a hazy kind of way) about 12 months ago reporting that I had been told that while Asda liked Greenseal, they were far more turned on by Starpol and its possibilities. I also (in a hazy way) remember reading the same somewhere.

oblomov - 21 Jun 2007 13:34 - 24820 of 27111

Tweenie,

Given the past record I wouldn't buy even half a share in SEO. Problem is, I'm stuck with a holding once worth 110,000 but now worth little over 2000! I'll stay with it because a further loss of a couple of thousand is just a drop in the ocean of what I've already lost, and worth a punt considering the (I think) too low SP and the prospects with this latest news.

But buy further shares? I may be stupid, but not that stupid!

boldtrader - 21 Jun 2007 13:53 - 24821 of 27111

Oblo i would not for one minute say you were stupid, I'm in a similiar, although not as heavy a situation,I too would like to average down but my cautious nature says no, but to bail now is a waste of time, and, who knows we may just yet recieve a return on our investment, I would well guess there are many more PI's in similiar situations. good luck to all SEO holders and cheers.

garyble - 21 Jun 2007 13:59 - 24822 of 27111

Oblo,

I feel your pain! My situation is very similar: all in an ISA and was profit made from AHT but would still hurt alot to see it all disappear!

Fred1new - 21 Jun 2007 18:33 - 24823 of 27111

Probably been stupid and bought a few more during the day.

After lying down and thinking about it, restarted my tablets.

Iankn73 - 22 Jun 2007 00:04 - 24824 of 27111

Guys,

I wish some of you would stop fantasizing about Sphere/Stanelco. I woke up the other morning and had a "wet dream" over a bag of spuds, now give it a bye please....

tweenie - 22 Jun 2007 00:13 - 24825 of 27111

jersey royals or maris pipers?
:-0

Iankn73 - 22 Jun 2007 00:38 - 24826 of 27111

A lovely pair of Maris Pipers

Good all-rounders - chips, frying and rti.

Good all-rounders?? unlike Stanelco!!

Iankn73 - 22 Jun 2007 00:46 - 24827 of 27111

I bought into this bunch at 1.72 so I havent lost anywhere near most on this forum and wish all the best to those of you who have lost substantial sums of cash. Heres hoping.

Balerboy - 24 Jun 2007 23:15 - 24830 of 27111

Just wondering, a fair few institutions joined our club when things looked good. Are they still as strong or getting rid slowly so as not to be noticed? In for the long haul me, got nothing to loose.

blackdown - 25 Jun 2007 07:52 - 24831 of 27111

Except all of your money.

kitosdad - 25 Jun 2007 08:30 - 24832 of 27111

LOL

jimward9 - 25 Jun 2007 11:45 - 24833 of 27111

Balerboy
If institutions were selling or buying, they would have to tell, every time they pass a full % so they are still in.

tweenie - 25 Jun 2007 17:16 - 24834 of 27111

i would'nt put ay faith in the institutions being any more informed with their purchases than the rest of us.
for one they were lied to by the same mis-management team as the rest of us,
more importantly they have'nt been buying in bulk given the sp.
oh and they have'nt lost nearly enough yet , those jammy ^&*^%&%^!!!!!
