I will go and stand in the corner and look at the wall !! then take a look at my SEO shares and locked in profit and think nice one. As I said the other day, long-term the SEO faithful will be laughing and nothing shorters can do will change the direction SEO are heading but with such an attack as yesterday I joined in the fun. Sorry folks!!! Back to being an investor today with similar holding in SEO as I started the week with but more cash.

shorters borrow shares from nominee accounts to sell. thats why all investors should insist on a share certificate to keep these leeches where they belong.

Superrod,
Most of the main brokers won't deal without a certificate held in a nominee account, if i see a chance to make a profit by going short then i will do and so would most investers it's all part of the game.

Good morning
There have just been 4 lots of sales of about 45000 shares each. the second two were mine, the 45271 was selling from my trading account and the 44,300 (ish) was buying into my ISA, looking at the figures for the first two i would assume this was a similar transaction. Because it is basically transferring shares from one account to another the spread is greatly reduced and the purchase appears as a sell.
Basically, all I am saying is that if a lot of people do this today it may make the screen look distorted with a predominance of red.
Best wishes
Nick

Since today is the first day of the new financial tax year, it's bound to be a quiet time across the board. Probably the same tomorrow?
Also with the General Election imminent, I personally think that volumes will be very low (and that usually means red!) until the "morning afterwards" especially if the result looks like being too close to call. The outcome affects us all!

Farn - at the end of last year the 50dma crossed the 200dma in what my learned friends tell me is called a golden cross - a strong buy signal which has remained so ever since. Although now the daily price is hovering precious near the 50dma, bringing it nearer a hold until we see some decisive move (one way or t'other) out of the current box - although it might be considered a brave buy whilst new tax year and election announcement dull the prices all round. IMHO DYOR etc.

Does SEO's 12 month exclusive contract with ASDA mean that SEO cannot make a contract with any other company?
If so, won't we have to wait another year before SP moves upwards again?

I am no expert - but my opinion for what its worth is that I suspect a lot of the Asda news is already reflected in the price so far as tray lidding is concerned - but it is based on a number of assumptions. I hope that SEO will post updates along the way to confirm the number of machines converted and provide an update when they announce their results (on 29th June?) and provide better info on future revenue et al. In the meantime - lets not forget that SEO have other products and there was a big hint in their last announcement that they were looking at the new packlaging as well.
So I would expect it to trade sideways for a while - increasing towards the results in June - and assumimg that the assumptions offered by others on this thread are reasoble - which I think they are - we should see a climb towards 30 by the end of this year. I know others have differing views.
By then - others will hopefully be clambering to get on board - in the meantime, the revenue that SEO get from ASDS will help them to invest and ramp up their operation.
