If you hold over 3% in a nominee account do you as beneficial owner have to declare it, or do the nominees declare it in thier name?

Looks like Barclay's could be doing the same here as they are doing with Bio fuels (bfc)
Taking the company private on the cheap then de-listing asset stripping (restructuring) then re listing in a year or so

AOR is indeed an interesting possibility in all this.

They sold some in October to "take up their rights". After the sale they would now have had 5% (if I remember correctly) without taking up their Rights.

In the Annual Report they were not listed as a 3%+ holder, yet we had had no notification of changes

I raised this with the Company and got a wishy-washy reply "there have been changes" - "we cannot identify their holding" etc.

Someone close to AOR told me that they would have informed the Company of any Notifiable changes in their holding - not saying if there had been or not.

I heard elsewhere they did not take up their Rights but still had an interest.

Watching Saturday morning cartoons....short commercials

The Double Deckers, Road Runner, Banana-Splits, Zeebedee, Tiswas or
Swapshop? and 'Why Don't You'? - or staying up for Doctor Who or The Muppet
Show. When around the corner seemed so far away and going into town seemed
like going somewhere foriegn Earwigs, wasps, stinging nettles and bee
stings. Sticky fingers. Cops and Robbers, Cowboys and Indians and Zorro.
Climbing trees. Building igloos out of snow banks. Walking to school, no
matter what the weather. Running till you were out of breath, laughing so
hard that your stomach hurt.

Jumping on the bed. Pillow fights.

Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.
Being tired from playing.... remember that?! The worst embarrassment was
being picked last for a team. Water balloons were the ultimate weapon
Football cards in the spokes transformed any bike into a motorcycle.

There were two types of trainers - Dunlop Green Flash in girls and boys

- and the only time you wore them at school was for P.E.

You knew everyone in your street - and so did your parents.

It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.

When nobody owned a pure-bred dog.

When 25p was decent pocket money{3d. for you oldies}

When you'd reach into a muddy gutter for a penny.

When nearly everyone's mum was at home when the kids got there. When it was
considered a great privilege to be taken out to dinner at a real restaurant
with your parents. When any parent could discipline any kid, or feed him or
use him to carry groceries and nobody, not even the kid, thought a thing of
it. When being sent to the head's office was nothing compared to the fate
that awaited a misbehaving student at home. Basically, we were in fear for
our lives but it wasn't because of drive-by shootings, drugs, gangs etc.
Parents and grandparents were a much bigger threat! - and some of us are
still afraid of them!!

Just to go back and say, Yeah, I remember that!

being caught with a catapult. Nobody was prettier than Mum. Scrapes and

foot of snow was a dream come true Older siblings were the worst
tormentors, but also the fiercest protectors

If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED.

Your post, totally off subject, but your forgiven as it's spot on. It bought a tear to the eye (a bit like SEO's SP) a lump to the throat (a bit like SEO's SP). I like the bit about 25p being decent pocket money. I remember when SEO's SP was 25p. The bit about comics, (reminded me of SEO's accounts/prospects).
I remember that eating raw jelly made me sick (a bit like SEO,s, etc, etc).
Sorry about that, I'm trying not to think about Stanelco so much but its taking over my life.
May have to get some professional help. Is there the equivalent of 'The Priory' for such as me, with the SEO addiction, or should that be affliction.

Unless there was a large scale buyer in the wings, here was no other reason for such a spread except no one wanted a market. It's not the mm's playing games as they need to make a market to encourage dealing. That's how they earn their money.
If no one is interested, that's it full stop.
PI's are sitting and waiting, as those who wanted to be out feel they have missed the chance and are now in to the finish. There is very little interest in buying either.
As for the institutions, some appear to be tweaking their holdings a bit (very little value increases/decreases), but most are sitting on such big losses, they are also sitting tight just hoping like the rest of us. For the institutions it's a bit late to jump ship. They are hoping for a bit of face saving.
Stanelco are becoming more and more an illiquid share. Who is going to deal with a plus 10% spread. At least it makes this share a no way bet for day traders.
If the spread narrows drastically and stays that way for a whole day, with the buyers leading it that might just might be a hint of something brewing
Only dramatic news good or bad will alter this.

I bought in today for second time after losing loads (and I mean loads)! a while back. Where do you think the price will go from here? I know it would just be an educated guess but what do you think?

My daughter is getting married in a few months, all paid for but I would love to upgrade the wedding gift.
