None of the tabs on Internet options says Java console on it.

Apple,
thanks for the feedback, but for some reason mine shows differently to yours and does include this option.

utilisada,
JT has taken a look at your E mail and he has confirmed that for some reason your PC is not evening starting to load the applet - hence the problems you have been having.
THis as we suspected is most likely being caused by your Norton. I will go through all of the settings I can find on my copy of Norton and note how they are set and then send out a copy of this to you. Hopefully we will then be able to find the difference at your end which is causing this.
I will let you know as soon as I have done this
Regards
Ian

Guys,
I have been through my copy of norton and the following is a list of the settings I have with streaming wirking fine for me. Could you also confirm if you are having a problem whether you are behind a corporate firewall?
When Norton is first opened I have the following settings:
Security - ON
Personal Firewall - ON
Intrusion Detection - ON
Norton AntiVirus - ON
Privacy Control - ON
Ad Blocking - OFF
Norton Anti Spam - OFF
Productivity Control - OFF
Now taking each of these settings individually:
Security - There are no further changes to be made here
Personal Firewall:
Double Click on Personal Firewall then click on Custom Level to check settings mine are as follows:
Personal Firewall - Set to Medium
Java Applet Security - Set to None Allow Java Applets
Active X Controls - Set to None
There are 2 tick boxes at the bottom of the screen I have the following settings:
Enable Access Control Alerts - Ticked
Alert When unused Ports are accessed - Not ticked
Click OK to clear this after any changes. This will take you back to Firewall. Once here click on Programs at the top of the box:
Here I have just one tick next to Turn on Automatic Program Control.
Click on ok to return to the first Norton box you saw.
Intrusion Detection Double click on this I have the following settings:
Turn on intrusion detection - Ticked
Notify Me - Ticked
Under Auto Block:
Turn on Auto Block - Ticked
Click OK at the bottom of the screen.
Privacy Control:
Turn on Privacy Control - Ticked
Now click on custom Level, I have the following settings:
Private Information - Medium
Cookie Blocking - None
Enable Browser Privacy - Ticked
Enable secure connections - Ticked
Now click on OK. Still on Privacy control, click on Advanced:
I have the following settings:
Information about your browser - Permit
Information about visited sites - Block
Animated Images - Permit
Scripts - Permit
Flash Animation - Permit
Now click on add site toward the bottom left of the screen and type in www.moneyam.com
Check that the global settings match those shown above (they should do this as they should be default), and change any to the above if needs be.
Now click OK to get rid of the grey box, and OK again to get rid of the Privacy control box.
Click on Norton Anti Virus on the left hand side of the screen my settings on here are as follows:
Auto Protect - ON
E mail Scanning - ON
Script Blocking - ON
Now click on Options at the top of the screen and select Norton Anti Virus. This will bring up a further box and my settings here are as follow:
Enable Auto Protect - Ticked
Start Auto Protect at start - Ticked
Show Auto Protect Icon in tray - Ticked
Automatically repair the infected file - Ticked
These are all the option you will need to check here. Click OK to return to the opening box.
These are basically all of the options I can find and my settings. Most of them should have no effect on Java applets but I have included them anyway.
Please can you take a look at your settings and see if you can find any differences.

Ian - done all the above - the only thing I have had to change is that I have now turned the Ad Blocking off - this means I now have all those irritating flashing ads but still no streaming.
The last section of your instructions after doing Privacy Control - my screens were a bit different but settings basically the same - where you have 'Automatically repair infected file' - mine is set to 'ask me what to do (recommended)' - I can't see that this will make a difference to anything.
One other thing which I have ticked is 'enable smart technology' which apparently 'scans files that contain embedded OLE objects that could contain malicious code' - Could that be relevant?

utilisada,
I have just replied to your mail - and passed the info onto JT to see whether there is anything in there that may help us. We are also in the process of messing around with a copy of Norton similar to your (I have pro on my pc which differs slightly) and as soon as we have any further info, we will let you know.

utilisada,
Thank you for you E mail with further details - JT has installed the Norton, and set it to it's highest security setting and has been able to get the streaming working fine first time - which is a little perplexing as we are no nearer to getting the answer for you.
However, the E mail you sent with further information has definately pointed to the fact that the applet is not downloading correctly.
JT has sugested that you try to force a refresh by pressing Ctrl + F5.
Please let me know how you get on.

Well, I think my only answer is a new computer - It was working perfectly until we upgraded the norton - obviously the norton alone is not the problem but it must be conflicting with something already on my system - I could try uninstalling everything and reinstalling.............
It's strange though that it all works when I disable the norton.
I tried Control + F5 - again, with norton on - no streaming but with it off everything is O.K.
Thanks for your efforts - let me know if you think of anything else.

Progress Update!!!!!!!!
I uninstalled EVERYTHING, reinstalled the basics - all worked until I re-installed Norton.
I have now 'nuked' Norton, bought a different internet security system, installed it and guess what?? - IT ALL WORKS!!!!!!!!
Just thought you might like to know - going for some well earned sleep now as I'm all 'computed out'

Utilisada,
Having had the same original problem I applied all the suggestions from this 9 page thread and like you it didn't work.....to those who also have the same problem you may wish to know that McAfee does work.
