Err ... well England's in the World Cup innit :P

Hey look what I found

... with cream ;)

bosley - 13 May 2006 14:32 - 26 of 403

mmmm, that looks so tempting!!!! discovered asda sell them, 3 packs for 1. keeps me going til the corner shop gets stocked up again :))

g d potts, fully agree with what you say apart from d villa. spain, (every tv pundit's dark horse), generally don't stay too long in tournaments. is it going to be different this time?

G D Potts - 13 May 2006 15:50 - 27 of 403

I think so, they've got a really strong team with the likes of Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Villa, Casillas, Puyol etc and so I do believe this could finally be Spain's time to shine.

Pommy - 13 May 2006 17:12 - 28 of 403

i have 100 quid at 1000/1 on ivory coast to win it.
Shame they got such a tough group, but they can get thru it and if they do they will be 25/1

bosley - 15 May 2006 10:12 - 30 of 403

as much as it pains me to say this, well done to the scousers. at least it's another trophy for the north !!! also, i think stevie gerrard showed that, if he is played in his best position for england, it will soften the blow of losing rooney. it also solves eriksson's dilema of how best to play his big three of lampard , beckham and gerrard.
harry kewill now a big doubt for australia. what a pity. the poor lad has suffered so much in his carreer......

bosley - 18 May 2006 12:39 - 31 of 403

blimey, has eriksson been reading this thread?? just read in the paper that he may consider playing gerrard in his best position, unshackle him from his midfield duties and play him further forward!!
i can't believe france haven't got room for guily!! what a player!!

world cup news

a great page for latest developments

jimmy b - 18 May 2006 16:20 - 33 of 403

Bos i'm just interested in that girls team that all wear different colours ,i'd like to see them playing ,i'm sure those shirts don't stay folded exactly where they are .

bosley - 18 May 2006 18:42 - 34 of 403

jimmy, they run in slow motion , too, just like they did in baywatch !! :))

G D Potts - 18 May 2006 18:58 - 35 of 403

Guily! he should not be in the Barcelona team, Xavi is far better as is Messi and when they are both back and fit guily will struggle to play. And although france are so bad, with a team of ageing former superstars Guily still doesnt merit a place.

chocolat - 24 May 2006 12:17 - 36 of 403

jimmy b - it's amazing what you can do with a bit of velcro.
But you have to be very careful ;)

bosley - 24 May 2006 14:27 - 37 of 403

you mean when it's time to peel the velcro off?? ooooouch!!!!

the usual lull going on now , between the end of club matches and the start of friendlies. only a couple of weeks to go and heaven begins :)))))

bosley - 26 May 2006 09:55 - 38 of 403

not the best of starts to england's world cup campaign but at least owen came through unscathed and we all got to see the new wonderkid. i have to say, what these new players lack in experience they do make up for in pace.

bosley - 26 May 2006 17:30 - 39 of 403

considering this is an investors bb , there must be some stocks that will directly benefit from the world cup. this is one that might be worth a look.

possible?

also, some of the breweries might be worth a punt, especially if england do well.

bosley - 27 May 2006 12:12 - 40 of 403

better tackle than peter beardsley's

bosley - 27 May 2006 12:20 - 41 of 403

england v rest of the world tonight at old trafford for soccer aid. i really wasn't interested until i found out maradona was playing. now i'm absolutely gutted as i turned down tickets a few times. oohhhhh what i would give now just to see the great man play !!!!

tweenie - 31 May 2006 13:20 - 43 of 403

On a slightly different note.
Did anyone see Peter CROUCH's dance last night after he scored?
The phrase ' what a cock' sprung to mind. He should have been yellow carded for the sheer embarrassment factor/.

Sven should invest in some dancing lessons.

C'MON ENGLAND!!!!!!! lots of goals, just no dancing please.

bosley - 31 May 2006 13:37 - 44 of 403

lol@tweenie!!! you read my mind!! speaking of the game last night, what a joy it was to watch the good ,old, solid , honest english footballers who never, ever, ever dive. not like those dirty, cheating bastard continentals. i mean , english players neeeeeeeeeeeever dive. they merely fall over when there's no contact. but that's not diving.........
