Markets rising very rapidly...oil down a dollar in the morning now up by the same amount to over $66.5 ....Afren always reacts a lot to US crude price..sp up right at the end and if this persists by tomorrow morning should send AFR over the 60p mark....I think that's eight days in a row that ftse has risen.....what a change !.

As oil is almost $67 and we continue in this strong upward trend I expect volumes to be healthy and the 60p resistance will be broken today. With with a fair tail wind who knows how high this time next week?.

sp falling is it due to political problems in nigeria or falling oil price?

GLG. appear to have disposed of 6m shares reducing their holding to below 5m.

political situation in nigeria not looking good with muslim terrorists in the north and separists in the south disrupting oil flows.... shades of Biafra all over again.

this nigeria stuff has been rumbling on for years, so nothing new ...... but i recollect you have a pretty low opinion of TLW's find in uganda as well

uganda is a totally different scenario to nigeria, as you know the problem in uganda is the cost of getting the oil to the coast. oil in the ground has no value.

ah indeed ... but both AFR and TLW (and HOIL) have definitely found the stuff, which may be in the ground but is not up in the blue sky ..... btw, have checked back and note that you made a similar derogatory comment about TLW's find in Uganda on 16th June when sp was about 890 against 990 now ..... perhaps hyleo is your alter ego
on 17th June, you also reckoned that TLW was badly overpriced compared to DGO (which I also hold) ...... DGO was then about 355 and is now 330

or yours, TLW's best bet in Uganda is to get the government to finance the cost of building the pipeline to Mombasa which would probably require a loan from the World Bank or similar agency, pretty unlikely unless the price of oil goes up significantly and stays up.

told you before ...... TLW have already put in an order for a fleet of spaceships ..... frankly, i don't much care how they get the oil from A to B, though assuredly it will be arranged, just as long as sp keeps ticking up
now tell us all at what price you shorted TLW (and AFR) and on what date ..... or did money and mouth somehow miss each other?

cynic you appear to have a problem, if you try being polite and nice to your fellow human beings for a change you just might get something out of your life.
