I may have missed discussion of this but I have just come across this concerning alleged misdeeds of Howard White.
http://uk.messages.finance.yahoo.com/Finance/UK_Stocks/threadview?m=tm&bn=UKF-Stocks-SEO.L&tid=261&mid=261&tof=6&frt=2
This was also referred to in an article in CityAM in during July in which he had to resign from his new 'project' company, AFC Energy, having been Founder and Project Director, following revelations that the Prospectus/Admission to Aim documentation failed to disclose past Directorships in bankrupt or failed Companies. See http://www.afcenergy.com/2007/07/13/afc-energy-board-change/
The CityAM article about this mentioned the close involvement of HW, his son Ben and Age of Reason. SEO got a mention too.

Tony - this broke while you were away. Discussion on this thread starts at - 09 Jul 2007 - post 24892
It broke when a 'journalist' made a post on iii - what would seem to be an identical post to that you have found above at yahoo.
I've emailed you a copy of the document that started the story. I think that document says it all, really. The date of when the microsoft business was going off is coincidentally(?) coincides with the period when the positive RNS's were coming out.

Tony,
I saw this as I was preparing my report to the FSA re Stanelco.
Thread.....(Info required for report to FSA, re Stanelco.)
It goes to show that he is sailing very close to the wind to say the least.
One to trust for the future obviously,NOT.

almost sorry to be my usual caustic self, but sounds as though you will have expended an awful lot of energy for sweet FA .... a noble gesture, but nevertheless not even sure that it can even be classed as pro bono

Hi Cynic,
You are probably right, but I have to give it a try.
You never know something may come of it, but as they say, I'm not taking bets.

Thanks. It goes to show I should not go away for long periods!
Although not one to trust, he has shown the ability to greatly increase a share price. Which, of course, is the hope that brings us all together.
In my mind he is worth keeping an eye on, in case he gets another opportunity. The difficulty then would be timing the sell !

Unfortunately he has also shown the ability to greatly decrease the share price, Tony!!! A risky man to back.

A
fairly interesting article here relating to biodegradable packaging and supermarkets.

It would be more interesting to us if the author had mentioned SEO - he seems to have decided Metabolix and Biopack have it sewn up - or 'wrapped up' as he puts it.

Oblo,
The key players for the nascent bio-plastics market will most likely jostle for position over the coming years. However, SEO definitely out of favour with the pundits {for obvious reasons}, especially when the figures quoted are compared:
Metabolix 50:50 JV with a pharma for a "50 million-kilo-per-year" plant {SEO 50:50 JV with ~20 million-kilo-per-year plant, and a 100 million-kilo-per-year plant in the offing}
Biopack: $155m company with $6.6m sales in 2006; SEO ~$30m company with ~$12m sales in 2006.
I guess they didn't hype themselves up and played it more cautiously!

Interesting figures, Gary. They demonstrate what could happen to the SEO SP should they get a year or two of decent sales under their belt.
Not that I'd bet a lot on that happening at the moment!
Which part of September do we get some news? Anyone know?

D DAY

D Day/Stanelco,
An analogy
When thousands of small boats went out to rescue the mainly British Army, turning a rout (failure) into what the present now looks at as a success.
With each and ever cash call, thousands of small shareholders have been pushing their boats out, trying to stop Stanelco becoming a failure.
A beach too far perhaps.
Now if 10th Sept turns out to be VE day.

10th Sept. will definately be a VE day for shareholders if SEO pruduces something good, if not, then small boats will drown.
