THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Tory guys are gradually joining the people on the street ... and the two boys only listen to each other & ignore everybody else!!! ... But for how long!!

MPs may get £10k pay rise: But they say: 'It's not snouts in the trough - if you pay peanuts you get monkeys'

Annual salaries would increase from £65,738 to £75,000
May be staged of five years from 2015, after the General Election
Officials could also demand that they give up their guaranteed pensions
One senior MP describes salary as a 'pitiful pay cheque'

we are all in it together but not the rich and MPs
the uk is a cesspit of corruption

TANKER - 21 May 2013 13:10 - 25201 of 81564

if the MPs are not happy with their salary then you should just put in your notice
their are plenty to take the job

ahoj - 21 May 2013 13:27 - 25202 of 81564

if MPs are there for their salary, it is better for us that they leave their job.

there are many dedicated individuals to do the job better, and not only for money!!!

Stan - 21 May 2013 13:37 - 25204 of 81564

TANKER - 21 May 2013 14:27 - 25205 of 81564

TANKER - 21 May 2013 14:51 - 25207 of 81564

Stan - 21 May 2013 15:42 - 25208 of 81564

So it's official then .. the "Con" Party "are" full of inbreds -):

cynic - 21 May 2013 17:44 - 25209 of 81564

this "gay marriage" nonsense
if most even if not everyone was happy enough with "civil partnerships", what is now the big deal?
if it is to put such partnerships into some sort of legal framework, again so what?
if such formalisation allows such couples to claim the same sort of tax relief and other attaching responsibilities and liabilities, rather as a "normal" marriage does, then i cannot see the objection

Stan - 21 May 2013 17:57 - 25210 of 81564

I think the more enlightened may agree.

Haystack - 21 May 2013 18:57 - 25211 of 81564

It could come in the future for everyone to have civil partnerships. It wasn't considered at present as it would have delayed the current legislation.

goldfinger - 21 May 2013 19:23 - 25212 of 81564

Hays......... poll of polls yesterday had labour 8% ahead still.

Ill try and find it.

goldfinger - 21 May 2013 19:28 - 25213 of 81564

Here we are.......

electionista‏@electionista19 May

UK - average of polls, 7-day change: CON 28.7%(-0.7), LAB 37.1%(-1.2), LDEM 9.2%(-1.3), UKIP 16%(+1.8)

goldfinger - 21 May 2013 19:34 - 25214 of 81564

Thing is this leads the back door open for a labour overal majority.

goldfinger - 21 May 2013 19:39 - 25215 of 81564

Commentating on the figs.......

David Buik‏@truemagic6810h

Its time to call time on the coalition! PM Cameron should go it alone. Why let an economically illiterate Labour party in by the back door?.............

LOL David not one Torry economist in the cabinet. Labour have 900% more qualified personnel in the shadow cabinet and Rachel Reeves is reputed to have the highest marks ever achieved at the London School Of Economics all bar 1, the late great Harold Wilson.
