I\'ve been trying to organise a Bristol get together (without much joy).

Can anyone come to your South West meeting?

Jumpin - 05 Nov 2007 13:57 - 255 of 314

yes of course mindseye, you will be very welcome... the group has been meeting once a month for years now.

We talk about lots of things from indices/shares/trading methods/housing/oil, gold etc., etc., etc.

mindseye - 05 Nov 2007 14:00 - 256 of 314

Great stuff

I'l lput it in my diary and try my best to make it as it would be good to get out and talk to like minded traders.

Thanks

Sorry not to make the 1st - my wife and children pulled a fast one the day before and I was left looking after my 8 year old. I didn't think a share meeting would be the highlight of his afternoon - but I would have enjoyed it.....

Groovyjean and I have excahnged notes and hopefully I'll make the next one. I'm still very interested and very keen to meet up.

Does your 8 yo pick the stocks?

Probably make a better job of it than most of us!

Funny you should say that.....

My 8yo son and 6 yo daughter often poke their heads into my study first thing in the morning to find out if we are making any money and to pass comment on the graph or figures on the screen. They know things aren't good when my numbers are all flashing red and my son will remark that the line (graph) should start going up or down. I've elected not to follow his comments so far, but then again I've never done a post analysis to see how often he might have been right......

I'm glad the meeting has been postponed until after the Bank Holiday. Hope John finds us another venue while the Blackbrook is being refurbished

mindseye - 07 May 2008 00:04 - 270 of 314

I got the impression you guys had gone underground since I turned up at my first meeting.....!!! I didn't mean to put you off......

Jumpin - 07 May 2008 11:55 - 271 of 314

No, we have held meetings for over 7 years now, so don't think you could put us off that easily :)

Next meeting is this Saturday, new temp venue is
(Blackbrook closed May and June for refurbishment)

The Farmers Inn at West Hatch, TA3 5RS.
Directions to the Farmers Inn...
Its right next to the RSPCA Centre at West Hatch. If you keep on going east on the A358 past the Blackbrook Tavern for about two miles you will see a sign post for the RSPCA Centre West Hatch. Turn right there (The Nags Head Pub just after turning right) and basically just follow the sign posts for the RSPCA for about two miles. The Farmers Inn is on the left just before the RSPCA.
