I got out a long time ago,you all should too

Talk about the story going on until the cash runs out.

In 1974 a book called , 'The Never Ending Story' was first published. It was made into a film in 1984. Both the book and film are still very popular with children and has grossed millions of pounds profit.
Perhaps Stanelco's way forward would be to turn their story, you know the one, (If you buy this magic bean and plant it, RNS's, annual reports etc) into a film. After all both are good fantasy fairytale reads, although The Never Ending Story is more believable.
The difference is in most fairy tales the fog turns into a prince and all live happily ever after. The Stanelco story has a differing twist with the frog still being a frog.
Lets just hope their story doesn't run as long as the real fairytale.

kimoldfield - 14 Nov 2007 09:15 - 25220 of 27111

Does the frog biodegrade at the end of the story Greek?

greekman - 14 Nov 2007 09:27 - 25221 of 27111

Hi Kim,

Now that would be a twist. I thought my post would spawn (OK I won't give up the day job) such comments.

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2007 09:48 - 25222 of 27111

Its already a fairy story - The Emperors new clothes, by the board Grimm.
Anyway, fairytales always get it wrong. Look at the sword in the stone. Searching for someone who could pull the sword out, to be king.
Shabby thinking. Find me the bloke who put it in there. Thats real king material.

and now for another month of nothing.....................................
:-)

kimoldfield - 14 Nov 2007 13:35 - 25224 of 27111

Oh, I don't know, a month is a long time in the history of SEO.........anything can happen.

PLEASE, anything, anything at all!

greekman - 14 Nov 2007 15:46 - 25225 of 27111

Looking at todays chart, the sp is going up. Oh no it's not, Oh yes it is, Oh no it's not, Oh etc etc.
Sorry.....will get back to some sort of normality, it's just been one of those flat boring days.
As soon as something/anything happens re SEO I will reform to sensible comments.

oblomov - 14 Nov 2007 16:30 - 25226 of 27111

Logged on and saw 12 new messages - thought 'They've either gone bust or got a deal!'

aldwickk - 19 Nov 2007 21:27 - 25229 of 27111

A 1million trade is not a big amount of money

tweenie - 20 Nov 2007 07:41 - 25230 of 27111

When theres a 10M to 100M share trade , wake me up.

oblomov - 20 Nov 2007 09:00 - 25231 of 27111

False alarm - even at 10m to 100m I'd rather be left to snooze on!

In the old days of PM1 the following would have caused a stir - but I doubt if Gordon would recognise a biodegradable bag if he found one in his sporran!!

greekman - 20 Nov 2007 09:28 - 25232 of 27111

Oblomov,

Couldn't agree more. Also who believes that if plastic bags are banned (presumably unless they are proven bio-degradable) Stanelco will benefit to any degree.
When SEO first muted the idea, there was little competition mentioned, now almost every day we see other similar products manufactured by others.
If this had been a horse race, there would by now have been a stewards inquiry.
SEO at one stage (according to all the info they put out) appeared to be so far ahead no one else was in contention.
They didn't just stop, they appeared to go backward.

I just hope SEO are not bio-degradable and disappear within about 6 months.

tweenie - 20 Nov 2007 09:36 - 25233 of 27111

0.33p by xmas
:-)

oblomov - 20 Nov 2007 09:58 - 25234 of 27111

If I knew when I invested in SEO what I know now, I'd have put my money in Northern Rock - safer by far!

aldwickk - 20 Nov 2007 10:31 - 25235 of 27111

but I doubt if Gordon would recognise a biodegradable bag if he found one in his sporran!!

I was thinking of over his head.

tweenie - 20 Nov 2007 13:31 - 25236 of 27111

SEO have cash for 2 more years and it looks like they could'nt give a rats arse about the sp as long as they've got cash to burn.
80k a year for sitting on your arse- not a bad job

antofelli - 20 Nov 2007 14:18 - 25237 of 27111

They must want the price to go down to hell couse they must have a good reason for that
