P.S.

I'll copy the whole 'exchange' here as there are some good points in it and it may open up some interesting debate. These posts, naturally, followed the usual PM1 ramping.

Let me know if you'd rather I didn't post it, wavey, and I'll take it off.

I appreciate what you're saying Paul.
However, SEO have had 3-5 years already, promises have been made and broken. There is now serious competion on the horizon. SEO have to deliver and soon. Given their previous history and incompetence, only the foolhardy would continue to plough more cash into this company. I am sitting on a very large paper loss. I am happy to sit on this loss. I am not happy to continually be told how hard they are working and seeing no end results. The LOI's have come to nothing. FROGPAK,FROGMAT etal is nowhere. S'pol can't be given away, Just where are the sales?
The management do need to get a grasp of the current situation and update the shareholders as faith alone will not support the sp. No matter who your preferred Diety is or how hard you pray or cross your fingers.

Hi ltholder,

"SEO have had 3-5 years already"
Since when ?????????????
The company was 'reborn' in April, with new direction and new directors, bye-bye 2.1m lossmaking Adept Polymers, bye-bye not needed staff, costs cut to the minimum and preservation of cash in the bank via increased sales being the No.1 priority.
A 5 year plan is certainly not shown yet in my books, I only came into SEO in late 2003, and I don't know of more than a handful that have been in SEO for 5 years or more, have you ?
I am in for 2010, by which time a goodly chunk of Stanelco's markets will have laws that support the Stanelco products, just like the new San Francisco ban on petro-plastic bags.

"Given their previous history and incompetence"
You mean the EX-Directors I presume ?

"There is now serious competion on the horizon"
Do you mean Metabolix with their factory coming online in late 2008, like about a year away ?
Or Cereplast about to build a new factory, yet they are selling less than Stanelco ?
Or Plantic with soluble plastics that are difficult to work with, and they sell less than Cereplast ?
Maybe the new factory being built in Hungary, a whopping 5,000 tonnes of PLA coming online there, in 2009 ?
Or did you not know that Stanelco are selling lots already, like maybe 7,500+ tonnes and growing ?

As for 'competition' you missed the statement from Metabolix, that demand for Bioplastics is so high that there is "room for everyone", so you see we may ALL be at full capacity soon and for many years duration, just trying to keep up with demand. According to the Bioplastics industry reports I have posted here, there is scope for Bioplastic to take a good 20,000,000 tonnes market share of the plastics market by 2012, suppose you tell me where its all going to appear from with the total nameplate capacity of all the other Bioplastics manufacturers adding up to about 300,000 tonnes ??

"SEO have to deliver and soon"
They are, they just aren't telling anyone yet.

"The LOI's have come to nothing."
A plan by the EX-Directors, not part of the new directors plans yet.

FROGPAK,FROGMAT etal is nowhere.
Frogpack last we heard was selling well ?
FrogMat machines are under development, Monosol's new factory will be finished soon

S'pol can't be given away, Just where are the sales?"
5.1m worth sold last year, nearly double what they sold the year before. Yes Sphere are taking a big chunk but SEO are selling it too. Try Biopak, Isracaps, Indaco, and the various other names I have mentioned here before.

"The management do need to get a grasp of the current situation and update the shareholders"
They already have a very good grasp, but it is not the job of the directors to change the share price just to keep us happy, sales are growing, costs are dropping, wait for the news or results and then if you still have cause to complain about the share price, you will have some up-to-date facts to base it on.

Cheers,
Paul

I particularly like PM1's 'it is not the job of the directors to change the share price just to keep us happy'.

'Us' being the shareholders, I'd have thought that was a major part of their job!

Oblomov.
The MESSIAH has spoken, heed his words and his actions.
STANELCO is the new religion and the Phrophet Masterson has spoken and caste out the unbelievers.(-sorry wavey)

Yay though I walk through the valley of landfill , I shall fear no tax on plastic bags as the son of recycling walks beside me.

Paul Masterson - the prophet with no profit!

aldwickk - 21 Nov 2007 16:25 - 25253 of 27111

His a paid ramper , were does he get all that info he keeps churning out ?

jimward9 - 23 Nov 2007 14:07 - 25254 of 27111

You may call PM1, but I for one found more uptodate info on SEO in one day on his site, than on all the other BBs I have visited in the last 3 months.

Fred1new - 23 Nov 2007 14:43 - 25255 of 27111

Check if the info. is accurate. I don't trust my own information or that out of the companies.

greekman - 23 Nov 2007 15:57 - 25256 of 27111

Hi Jimward,

PM1 did a huge amount of factual research into Stanelco and even allowing for any ulterior motives I do give him credit for his hard work.
His biggest problem was he gave the opinion that everything was rosy when it obviously wasn't. If you were not wearing the same rose tinted glasses, he became quite upset.
I stopped looking at any of his posts when he became abusive (I must admit to some provocation) to anyone who had a dig at his prophesies, mainly, "This will be 35 by Xmas".
He would never admit that no matter how good a product may be, if it don't sell it's worth nowt.
My own opinion is that his intentions were good, as if he had posted just to ramp and for no other reason, long before the SP level of today he would have given up and gone to new (ramping) pastures.

jimward9 - 23 Nov 2007 16:17 - 25257 of 27111

That sounds about right to me greekman.
If I could invest in Biotec i would have, and same with Sphere, but we cannot so i will stick with these infact i have topped up or averaged down this week, now below 2p. Can wait for upto 5 years by then age not SEO will be against me.

oblomov - 23 Nov 2007 16:25 - 25258 of 27111

The problem with PM1's research is that for every 90% of fact theres 10% fiction thrown in. If you can spot that 10%, fine. The 35 isn't made up - he was adamant at one time that it would happen, and produced some fine research to support his prediction. Doesn't say much for his research really, does it?

tweenie - 23 Nov 2007 18:01 - 25259 of 27111

I think PM did, on the whole, a lot of hard graft and produces some great research.
That said- OB's quite right this is interprersed with utter bollocks.
As WAVEY has found to his cost- to question his omnipotency, faith and utter belief in SEO is to be belittled and chastised as a small foolish child.
There is no half beliefs only total devotism to the one true saviour of the planet-SEO.
:-)

isn't it time this company just shut up shop and put you all out your misery?
i remain totally flabbergasted that so many of you find so much to write about a company that seemingly produces an unending stream of pig slurry that you all think is ambrosia

hlyeo98 - 23 Nov 2007 18:12 - 25261 of 27111

I was in this once but luckily notice the shit and got out at 18p.

Specification:

Biodegradability of P-Life Degradable Plastics has been tested and proved to comply with ISO14855 standard. ISO14855 is defined as "Determination of the ultimate aerobic biodegradability and disintegration of plastic materials under controlled composting conditions ?Method by analysis of evolved carbon dioxide".

P-Life dosed LDPE Films, which were oxo-degraded were evaluated for testing. Tests result showed that the degree of biodegradability was 30% after 144 days and it was still increasing. This investigation has shown that when the P-Life dosed plastics will degrade into low molecular mass products and the plastics are certainly bio-assimilated after they go through the degradation process.

Through P-Life additive induced oxo-biodegradation process, plastic materials after going through stage 1: oxidative degradation will finally be bio-assimilated by the living organism in stage 2: biodegradation process. Only if the plastic materials are bio-assimilated by the living organism will carbon dioxide be evolved. And repeated tests conducted by a number accredited authorized testing body including Chemicals Evaluation and Research Institute (CERI, www.ceri.jp), an renown accredited authorized testing body in Japan has confirmed the biodegradability of P-Life Degradable Plastics.

Biodegradable plastic will degrade as a result of bacterial activity. In order to also be classified compostable, ther degration must meet certain specified criteria such as rate biodegration, maximum residue of material left a a specific point in time as a requirement for the material to have no harmful impact on the final compost or the composting process. All compostable plastic is therefore also biodegradable. The standard for compostable plastic used is the European standard EN 13432.

Degradable plastics are not compostable. Most of the products using the label Degradable plastic, degrade as a result of physical and chemical impact (fracture into smaller pieces of plastic). They are oil based products with special additives that assist their 'fragmentation'. Biological activity is not a significant part of the degradation of these products, or the process is too slow to earn the classification Biodegradable or Compostable (the Biological degredation will typically take many years).

Bioplastics are a new generation of biodegradable and compostable plastics, derived from renewable raw materials such as starch (e.g. corn, potato, tapioca etc), cellulose, soy protein, lactic acid, etc, not hazardous in production and decompose back into carbon dioxide, water, biomass etc, in the environment when discarded. Corn starch is currently the main raw material being used in the manufacture of bioplastic resins. Mater-Bi (main componenet corn-starch), and PolyActide (PLA) (made from corn-starch as well) are currently the 2 main resins (raw materials), being used today in the production of compostable and biodegradable plastics and are certified for compostability under standards soybean protein, cellulose etc. Most of these are currently not certificed for compostability, though some are for biodegradability. The field of bioplastics is constantly evolving with new materials and technologies being worked on and being brought to market.

Price Monitoring Extension has been activated in this security.

Now if only we could find out why, has it been triggered by the price put in well over the closing sp or well below it, that's the big question.
