LONDON (AFX) - Buyers were again active in Desire Petroleum, 3-1/2 pence better at 61.
The company, whose shares have recently been buoyed by an upbeat seismic survey, was given an extra boost from speculation that Shell, or another major, will become its partner in the North Falkland basin.
Very interesting indeed...................come on, come on

pure speculation I know but with the shell interest or maybe other big firms, could anyone guess as to the top wack SP for this share by time an agreement is confirmed, if so would appreciate how this is calculated.

Hi all
I have an intrest in des. I first bought in at 17.95 a couple of years ago & have recently re-invested. The company has recently gone from 41 million & has stoped at 100 million capital (nice round figure for the end of the week). With all the heavy trading that has gone on since 09/11/04 it's no wonder some proffit takers have stepped in. Friday being pay day! Lets look forward to another nail biteing week.
Good Luck All

Hustle..
no one has more respect than I for our hero's but they were obeying orders, doing their duty, whatever that may have been?!?!.
My father was 34 yrs. a soldier, 1st & 2nd world wars.
Naive to think we knew/know the full story but raw mineral deposit/resources were undoubtedly involved. It wasn't about a handful of people and sheep living at t'other end of the globe, thats for sure.
Agree that this week has been celebration time so cheers to all of us, whatever our views

Thanks, markymar...then all the more reason to buy in next week. I think it will reach 1 with no difficulty.

I have sold other "stale" shares to buy more of this . Despite profit takers i can only see a rise by year end , possibly well over a pound . Thought there would be more in the papers this w/end , but its well worth the risk . Hope i`m right !

Looking at Desire today and have bought in and around the 55
level.. Why? Look at what has happened with other oil shares
when the intial large movement is reversed with profit takers.
Have employed this with AEN and FOGl.. (although was in AEN initially
at 80p).

Look Familiar?
