Tweenie,
Your assumption is most likely spot-on!

My wife overheard me buying 1,000 Stanelco shares in her name yesterday. She re-paid me with a night of mad passionate love as she wanted to reward me for my over generosity (she now thinks she is rich, and dreaming of flashy sports cars or/and exotic cruises as she knows nothing of the financial markets). Still cost less than a good meal out with a couple of bottle of hooch.
She will probably get the scissors out when she finds out how much I spent.
Oh well in for a penny as they say, or should that be in for .27p.
On a serious note it's only a couple of years ago that Stanelco were fated as the new Tetra-pac, so yes another opportunity well missed.

Greekman: your wife was probably hoping they'd go up in value quickly enough so she could afford to buy you a Xmas presy.

I'd like to know what PM makes of the above on his site and how he's selling it to his diciples. Unfortunately I'm barred.

Heres his latest post, Wavey. Not so upbeat these days!
Hi Brand,
HW does not have that much cash, and I don't see Isracaps as being that rich either or the deal with Kafrit would not have fallen through.
They might have sold below the 3% but there is no way of knowing where it went from there. All I know they did was sell a chunk so they could buy their placing stock, then they sold again taking them below 3%.
HW could never buy SEO, as the institutions hold way too much stock.
HW cannot raise funds in the city as his name is now so bad, kicked out of SEO then implicated in his sons selling of OEM software illegally, then kicked out of AFC Energy.
As for regular news flow from HW, I reckon you should go back and read those RNS again, and see how much of each one was 'news' and how much was 'hype' that never turned into anything material. His news and expectations were the reason the SP went to 30p, and his failure to deliver on any of his expectations is why the SP is now 0.27p, yes if he had delivered we could easily have been at 1 by now, thats the risk you take with investment in new technology(GreenSeal), now we are back to trying to make our fortune on driving sales of old and established technology like Bioplast(1997) and RF(1945?), whilst developing the new technologies(Starpol 3000, 4000, textiles, adhesives, capsules, FrogMat, etc) in the background.
Organic growth is happening and it will accelerate, I have shown that with a number of posts, but that isn't worthy of an HW style RNS like "we expect to sell xxxxx tonnes of Bioplast in 2008" which would be typical of HW, and for him not achieve that, whereas we will see in the results just how much organic growth has been achieved and work out from that where we think growth will be in the years ahead, and when we will be in profit and able to invest some of the cash in other IP or opportunities.
Cheers,
Paul

I would put money(if I had any) on any statement (if forthcoming) to be very bland and reflect the fact that they are cutting costs, concentrating on existing products and working closely with partners to build sales .........yawn.
All in line with 2 year plan.
in other words a vieled promise of jam tommorow and hopeing they can deliver something before the money pot is dry..................again.
Obviously non of this will actually be supported with any facts or figures and we will be left non the wiser as to what exactly they have been doing for the past 12 months.
:-)
OMG I've become CYNIC
...................I'll just get my coat.

Tweenie,
Cynical yes, but no more than the rest of us. Like you I can see a similar statement.
One way they can cut costs is to recycle last years statement. All they need to do is change dates.
See Joke thread as did not wish to clutter this thread.

WOW!!!!
Just tried to get some information from UK Intellectual Property Office with regards SEO challenge.
He went on and on and on and on about Section 21, Rule 37, Form 23, and did I end up any wiser ? NO.
They are a serious challenge to SEO for nondescript information.
And then he mentioned, 3 years is quick. And it was a premium rate line!!!!!!

In March, if not before, I expect some guidance on Biotec production plans and manufacturing OUTPUT (not capacity which seems to confure everyone) for 2008 / 9 /10.
Paul Mines will have been in place nearly a year in March (assuming he stays until then) and anything less will not be adequate. I also expect more detail on the technical and geographical areas they are focusing on, their relationship with Biotec and an HONEST (UNLIKE THE LAST MANAGEMENT statement on their forward view of the outlook for the next 3 years.

The challenge is not to SEO it is to Biotec.
But even this is not much, as it is only the patent office saying that they think instead of having patents on each mix, that one patent could cover a range of mixes. Not some other company making a challenge on one.

Does asnyone know what this price monitoring actually accomplises, and who instigated it? is the brokers or SEO?
On a different note- As an EX copper anyone care to air their views on the Gov'nts decision to not observe allegedly binding' arbritation and shaft the police with 1.9% pay rise.
Personally I think it was to be expected and from my own expewrierce the police federation are as useful as the board for SEO- Fat cats paid over the odds to keep the status quo.
You can't put a high enough price on having to deal with pricks who's parting gestures are always F~~K you Pigs, I know where you live, i'm going to rape your wife and murder your kids........ oh those were the days.

Tweenie,
Police pay deal;
It is terrible for anyone to renege on a promise but a police strike??????
Lets look at the effects;
1) No-one to criminalise a car driver on an empty road for exceeding the speed limit by 3MPH. Obviousley this would garner public support and sympathy.
2) Lower detection and prosecution rates. Lower than what???
3) Criminals being able to go about their business without the fear of being apprehended and inconvenienced by a morning in court and a magistrate giving them driving lessons as a punishment, or for more serious crimes, the local social services patronising them and blaming the education systems of the 1990's. Or some other baloney.
4) No-one in uniform able to come to your house after a break in and tell you it's your fault for not having good enough security, or to your car and tell you not to leave a carrieer bag on the back seat. To ram the message home you also require a crime prevention officer to fill your green bin full of leaflets.
A strike would be a mistake. We might start questioning what difference the police make to our everyday lives. ;-)
Please don't be offended. Trying a mixture of Satire and Cynicism, and yes, a pay rise of a higher magnitude is in order.

The Police are lucky the pay deal isn't performance related! That aside, the Government have shafted every other area of the countires workers, why should the police be any different? When are people going to realise thet we have a government that is inept, unethical, morally corrupt and ineffective?
Should this be on the TTY thread?
