Driver here is your answer:
RNS Number:1658K
Stanelco PLC
24 March 2005
24 March 2005
Stanelco PLC ('Stanelco' or the 'Group')
ASDA adopt Stanelco's GREENSEAL technology
Stanelco PLC, the RF (radio frequency) applications group, is pleased to
announce that it has signed a binding contract with ASDA for a 12-month
exclusive agreement for the application of the Group's GREENSEAL tray lidding
and thermoforming RF technology in the UK and Ireland. ASDA anticipate that
several hundred machines will be adapted to utilise the technology due to the
significant benefits it delivers.
The agreement follows successful trials at a number of different ASDA suppliers
and will mean that the suppliers involved in the programme will, where
practical, convert from traditional heat-sealing to Stanelco's revolutionary RF
technology.

Driver, the 12 month agreement with Asda is for UK and Ireland.
Outside of here they can roll-out this technology but have a major advantage in US with Wal-mart being Asda'a owners who are bound to be aware of this.
Watch the sp, it will drift back as this RNS is just alerting of an agreement with an engineering company, which is great for us SEO followers but is not a deal to supply RF retrofits. Expect sp drift-back and I may buy again as now even more confident of SEO expansion plans. Makes the 1 year deal with Asda look even better as it allows SEO to concentrate on this and probably US which will be bigger than Tesco/Sainsburys.

I read it that they can't make a deal with anyone else in UK & Ireland for 1 year. Outside of that the worlds their oyster. After 1 year its up to SEO/Asda what happens in UK and Ireland but the worlds a big place.

I am sure that earlier discussion recognised the fact that the ASDA deal was UK and Ireland only - but I think the main concern was whether SEO could grow quickly enough to service ASDA and others elsewhere in the world (primarily USA). Well I think SEO are demonstrating that they can think outside f the box - and I do not think that it will end there. They know that they have a world beating technology - but it wont be long patent or not - that others will start to try and copy them - so thay must take advantage of the lead that they have. They have already said that they are spending a fortune to protect their patent - but we all know that that will not stop others trying.

so, seo are going to train these american engineers how to retrofit their greenseal technology. when this is done they can then start to roll out in america, canada and mexico. so thats uk , ireland, and now america, canada and mexico taken care of. so , that leaves the rest of the world to move into . i mean, the next rns may be that some chinese packaging engineers will be coming to seo to learn how to retofit greenseal. after that there is east asia, australia, ....... you get my drift. it seems we may have been looking at this all wrong. maybe seo dont have to recruit, maybe this is the fastest way to get in first before others try to copy the technology, as bhunt suggested; seo can teach others how to use the technology and cut them in a slice of the license fee. seo are full of surprises!! four months ago the deal with asda was just a pipe dream , now its real!! todays rns came right out of the blue. it could be preparation for walmart. we all thought they had lost the cc but it now looks like seo may get something out of it. not really a company you want to be out of .......who knows what you may miss!!!!!

This is very good news for SEO,
I must confess to being confused about Reisers. the RNS dated 17th August 04 states that "Stanelco had entered into an exclusive, non-binding heads of terms(?)with Reeisers concerning the use of Reisers tray lidding machines in the USA and Canada" Yet in todays RNS it states that (para 5) "Whilst Stanelco is yet to sign licence agreement for its Greenseal technology in North America"
I had thought originally that there was a Exclusivity deal with Reisers as with ASDA and i assumed that this would expire in August(ish, 12 months from original RNS) When i first read this mornings RNS i thought that the three months setting up time coincided quite nicely with the expiry with Reisers, this appears to not be correct (with no licenses having been issued in America). However it does mean that (If I read things correctly) America NOW offers unrestricted potential to Stanelco. I would assume that the issuing of licences will take a period of time to initiate, With this in mind, I would hope to see a number of licenses being issued over the next couple of months with commencement of modernisation of machines starting as soon as Premier are ready.
It all looks quite exciting for the future.
Best wishes to all
Nick

When SEO do tie up a deal in the US it will be another first - the yanks taking some responsibility for the environment!!! Holding these shares could really be a life-changer if you hold for 2-5years. Bye-Bye mortgage is my target and if being overweight in SEO is how I do it then so beit.

Good to see us pushing on again, back to the levels where we'd previously established our support. Think people will be closing short positions left right and centre on this news.
