Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

I love Venice. I have lots of memories from there over the years. The last time I was there I took the kids and stayed on The Lido. We spent all day on the beach and then went across the lagoon to visit restaurants in the evening and walk around the canals. I first went with my parents when I was about 2 1/2. I drove there a couple of times years later and parked in the gigantic car park on the mainland. The last time was best with the kids. It was amazing to land at the airport, walk outside and get into a speed boat and seconds later to be whizzing across the lagoon to tie up at our hotel. There is nothing quite like it.

Dil,I am very much in favour of when in Rome do as the romans,but I do think there are people on this board who judge all immigrants as the same.This attitude does not help , as i said , we as a nation have needed/wanted immigrants and even when this was happening many did there best to offend them. This attitude still happens.
By the way cant u sleep now adays or is it excitement of the thought of next season football and rugby, something we dont have to worry about this side of the bridge

DIL you are spot on .we have had weak governments for the last 30 years
and we can now see the results a country of ghettos immigrants setting up their own country within ours
if they do not want to join the club then they should fcuk off back to the stone age
were they must belong .
