Vatican Confirms Atheists Still Going To Hell, Despite Pope Francis Remarks

The Vatican has clarified that atheists will still go to hell if they reject God, after Pope Francis broke with tradition to deliver a homily stating non-believers who do good will be redeemed through Jesus.

The Pope's words made headlines around the world after he gave an unprepared speech in which he emphasised the importance of “doing good” as a principle which unites all humanity.

After international media attention, the Vatican attempted clarify how exactly one gets in to heaven, with Rev. Thomas Rosica, a Vatican spokesman, saying that people who know about the Catholic church “cannot be saved” if they “refuse to enter her or remain in her.”

That is, atheists are still going to hell.

However there was still hope for the sinful among us, as “every man or woman, whatever their situation, can be saved. Even non-Christians can respond to this saving action of the Spirit. No person is excluded from salvation simply because of so-called original sin.”

i THINK i agree that supplying arms to the syrian rebels is a very dangerous move, but with russia/china(?) already supplying arms to hezbollah who support assad, the choices and decisions are not nearly as clear cut as may seem on first sight

They could use Syria as a testing zone for recent developments in armaments for Russia and China against the West. (Modern warfare against last week's.)

Besides the armament industry in the UK needs a financial stimulus of some kind or another and what does a 100,000 or Syrians matter?

How does the level of "terrorist" actions in Libya, Syria, West Bank and Israel, etc. compare with the UK?

The mortality and morbidity rates and danger levels are obviously higher. Is the fear rate higher and again what are the gains?

Stella Remington is right. People need to be more aware of what is going on around them.

Russia are not just supplying arms to Hezbollah. They are supplying arms direct to Syria. There is a risk that any arms we send will find their way into other conflicts in the region. Had the EU and the US acted earlier then the rebels would not have been infiltrated by extremists. The longer we leave any help, the more likely that any future government will be dominated by religious extremists.

The police do arrest people calking for killing. You cannot deport most of such people as they were born here.

Tanker, I am ashamed to say that those who defend Human Right are in fact defending criminals and defend right for criminals.

If we had death penalty, many of these criminals wouldn't do the crime.

Anyway, criminals are going to enjoy life in prison, much better than many jobless in the country. They will have free lawyer, lunch, accommodation, etc, and laugh at every taxpayer in the country.
