Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

i'll happily buy into that argument as i commented above, and would give equal time to the counter one, but as usual, it's the additional loony crap that you clutter up the place with

Come on Cynic.
They could use Syria as a testing zone for recent developments in armaments for Russia and China against the West. (Modern warfare against last week's.)
Besides the armament industry in the UK needs a financial stimulus of some kind or another and what does a 100,000 or Syrians matter?
---------
Is there a question of raising the "fear" level in the UK in some of the recent policies being suggested?
Who gains from increasing the level?
How does the level of "terrorist" actions in Libya, Syria, West Bank and Israel, etc. compare with the UK?
The mortality and morbidity rates and danger levels are obviously higher. Is the fear rate higher and again what are the gains?

Stella Remington is right. People need to be more aware of what is going on around them.
Russia are not just supplying arms to Hezbollah. They are supplying arms direct to Syria. There is a risk that any arms we send will find their way into other conflicts in the region. Had the EU and the US acted earlier then the rebels would not have been infiltrated by extremists. The longer we leave any help, the more likely that any future government will be dominated by religious extremists.

The police do arrest people calking for killing. You cannot deport most of such people as they were born here.

Tanker, I am ashamed to say that those who defend Human Right are in fact defending criminals and defend right for criminals.
If we had death penalty, many of these criminals wouldn't do the crime.
Anyway, criminals are going to enjoy life in prison, much better than many jobless in the country. They will have free lawyer, lunch, accommodation, etc, and laugh at every taxpayer in the country.

i'll ignore the other loonies here and stick with Hays!
Hays - it's certainly very murky as to exactly who is supplying hezbollah ..... clearly both syria and iran are, but from where or whom are they getting these supplies?

it's not a uk decision but a collective one through eu and really relates (i think) to whether the current ban on supplying arm to the "rebels" should be extended or abandoned
much as you might wish it, uk is not an insulated entity, and much as you might like to solve each problem one by one, that of course is totally impossible in the real world

Tinker,
Sometimes I think your postings have much in similarity to the religiose extremist propagating violence in various parts of the world and the "streets" of the UK.
What you propose seem to advocate violence to-wards another group as a response to their violence.
Much in common, comes to mind.
After you have got rid of all the Muslims, which other group would you focus your attention on.

Hezbollah are getting arms from Syria and Iran. Russia is supplying Syria direct. Iran manufactures a lot of their arms to including drones, surface to air missiles, rockets. They have even built submarines recently. There is some evidence that Russia many be supplying Iran as well.

Now that the EU ban has been lifted, France and the UK are considering supplying arms unilaterally.

let's go back to basics and discuss our responsibility to our nation than other nations. we should ignore all these and focus on putting right everything internally.
We should let Human right help humans not the criminals and we should start right here.
I think most religions are misused by criminals (as it is now), direct or indirectly, to serve their interest.
Islam is misused more as it is believed by the poor in less educated countries. Those people do not have access to TV, internet, and even phone, so they do not know what we say or what is happening outside their village.... We should not be surprised to see that they follow advise by their leaders ....
