Maintenance: Site downtime Friday 6th August @ 23:45.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 05 Aug 2004 13:18

Hello.

Since the switch over we have had a few teething issues, so to save you reading all the posts on this thread, ill list the ones that have been found, and when they have been fixed, cross them out. If things are not working despite being 'fixed', ill put them back on the list.

MoneyAM Website
Closing bid/offer prices skewed
Charts: OHLC not being saved, breaking candle sticks.
Market Scan issues.

If there is any that I have missed, please let us know.

J.

On my stockwatch lists, when a transaction takes place the T/Price,Time & Volume cols are all updated, as is the Cumulative volume col. However the buy & sell volume cols are not - as they include previous days info in some cases, they are meaningless today.
Confirmation that this is 'on the list' of bugs to be sorted would be appreciated.

apple,

A fix for that will be in place tonight, ready for play tomorrow.

Douggie,

Can you please go to: http://java.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=www.java.com:80
and install that, it will fix the problem with streaming charts (they are now for some reason incompatiable with Microsoft VM :()

2Richard2,
This will be fixed tonight also (is being worked on as I type...)

Tullett J I,m using MS VM as this is what Etrade recommend for their platform.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 11 Aug 2004 11:46 - 260 of 616

Yoyo,

switching to Sun Java VM won't cause any issues with E*Trade. We all use E*Trade here all day and we only use the Sun VM.

We will fix the streaming charts soon so they work under the MS VM, but that is not a priority at the moment (it is important to us, but there are other problems without an easy work around which are being concentrated on at the moment.

All,

The intraday process has been changed so it will plot on the 'mid' rather than the 'curr' from this point on.

Streaming charts are still awaiting the tweak to take this into consideration.

TJ I agree that you have to prioritise, but I have found that things work better, even your stockwatch under MS VM, maybe it also has something to do with my version of Windows. Thanks for all your efforts.

Yoyo,

Quite possibly, but at the moment this is hte only workaround for the streaming charts. It will be resolved but not likely for a couple of days, sorry...

Delayed FTSE time has now dropped off screen, although it is not really a problem.

SueHelen - 11 Aug 2004 13:42 - 267 of 616

The charts are still not working, for example, for ETQ the volume indicator has not been updated for Monday & Tuesday, along with the candlesticks.

apple - 11 Aug 2004 13:49 - 268 of 616

Thanks

Another problem is that there is that the news indicator N next to a share on the stockwatch page no longer shows up when there is an RNS or AFX.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 11 Aug 2004 14:19 - 269 of 616

apple,

if you read the rest of the thread you will see the comments and our replies. It should be fixed in a streaming server release going in today.

torquay,
This is correct.

If you want to find the Sun Java VM, you can find the Java Get it Now! button on http://www.ist.co.uk, bottom left of the page. This will take you to the appropriate page on Sun's site.

IMHO, Sun's Java VM is in much better shape than the default currently shipped by Microsoft. Also, the Sun VM works fine with other browsers, such as Firefox (which is what I use these days).

MightyMicro,

or linked from our help pages in the FAQ section...

gurumaister - 11 Aug 2004 15:01 - 273 of 616

J. Tullet,

I also still can't get Stockwatch. I tried SueHelen's hint of using Ctrl+F5 but that locked up my screen after a few minutes of apparent download activity.

Is the Stockwatch supposed to be working now? Or is my experience common?

HELP!!

torquay - 11 Aug 2004 15:28 - 274 of 616

Stockwatch has been working ok all day.

torquay - 11 Aug 2004 15:30 - 275 of 616

J Tullett my post 265 and your reply 268,is this just a glitch or has this been dropped to give the impression that FTSE is Real-Time.
