THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

There is a very odd cafe called the Rapha Cycle Club. It is at 85 Brewer St. They play cycling videos or live cycle racing on a big screen. You can take your cycle in and there are virtical racks at the back to put it on.

hays..... poll taken 4 hours after ed Millibands speech on welfare.......

electionista ‏@electionista 6 Jun

UK - YouGov/Sun poll: CON 30%, LAB 39%, LDEM 10%, UKIP 14%

Labour up to a 9% lead on Tories +1%.

Looks like your theory is already backfiring.

skinny - 07 Jun 2013 09:06 - 25824 of 81564

Stan - I listen (on now) on Fridays :-)

cynic - 07 Jun 2013 09:19 - 25825 of 81564

leave poor old hays alone, though i must confess he does take the bait every time .... you're a bad lad!

aldwickk - 07 Jun 2013 09:47 - 25826 of 81564

Will there be a CON/UKIP Government ?

Haystack - 07 Jun 2013 09:54 - 25827 of 81564

gf
As I said before YouGov's Polks are online and attract activists. The polling population is self selected and not accurate.

Latest Poll

A majority still said they would prefer to have Mr Cameron than Mr Miliband in Downing Street, and the Prime Minister and Chancellor George Osborne retained their lead over Mr Miliband and Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls as the best team to manage the economy.

cynic - 07 Jun 2013 10:29 - 25829 of 81564

of course bill and ben would score better than wallace and gromit

goldfinger - 07 Jun 2013 10:59 - 25830 of 81564

Yep aldwickk because of their association with Brown.

What you have to ask yourself is this though, if Camoron is so trusted with the economy why was it that he didnt score an outright election majority victory over arguably the worst PM of all time, ie Brown.

I reckon the gap as we get nearer the election will close considerably.

goldfinger - 07 Jun 2013 11:02 - 25831 of 81564

OTopic, reading last nights posts I was shocked and I mean trully shocked to see how many posters here were talking about their bus passes.

Am I to take this that they are free bus passes and therefore most are of pension age?, 'if so just call me junior'.

goldfinger - 07 Jun 2013 11:11 - 25832 of 81564

I didnt realise posters were of such a mature age,eg hays posts like a young deluded punk rocker whos lost his smack.

And 3monkeys very deceptive, thought she was far younger...... suppose thats a compliment.

Just goes to show B/Boards and online chat in general can give false impressions.

I always seem to have an individual profile image of each poster in my head as I exchange posts.

Just goes to show how wrong one and I especially can be.

But then again I cant be perfect, far from it.

3 monkies - 07 Jun 2013 11:31 - 25833 of 81564

I am 65 in 20 days - still 20 in the head but not in body - Junior.

aldwickk - 07 Jun 2013 11:39 - 25834 of 81564
