including plus market trades thats 100m traded so far today !!!!

garyble - 04 Mar 2008 11:40 - 25845 of 27111

There is nothing to substantiate this rise in SP, so I expect a retracement after results, especially as I assume there will be no fireworks in them and simply a little more "jam tomorrow" and a request for patience!

I believe this is the work of day-tarders.

tweenie - 04 Mar 2008 11:55 - 25846 of 27111

Who keeps buying the blocks of million shares?

stockdog - 04 Mar 2008 12:01 - 25847 of 27111

More value as a cash(less?) shell with a full listing than a plastic bag seller IMHO!

garyble - 04 Mar 2008 12:04 - 25848 of 27111

Tweenie,

Just for my peace of mind, I'd like to believe the background noise is day-traders, so lets say of the 130m shares traded so far a significant portion imo is day-trading.

Of course, with the sudden rise, there is also the element of the opportunist investor/punter, etc, etc....

required field - 04 Mar 2008 14:29 - 25849 of 27111

This will be included in ftse 100 soon, please... those who have enjoyed the rise from a very low start... think about profit taking !

hewittalan6 - 04 Mar 2008 14:38 - 25850 of 27111

As I type, SEO appear to be in some kind of auction position again, with the spread reversed.

robinhood - 04 Mar 2008 14:59 - 25851 of 27111

Only about 140 trading days with similar s/p rises as today and we're back at 28 p p/s again-(Better shut up b4 they put me in my straight jacket again)

required field - 04 Mar 2008 15:03 - 25852 of 27111

This stock (at the moment) is only good for one thing, buying and selling short term, long term what does this offer ?..... diddly squat (some people might say) !

driver - 04 Mar 2008 15:08 - 25853 of 27111

rf
I take your not in then.

jimward9 - 04 Mar 2008 15:11 - 25854 of 27111

.8p now back to what schroder/barclays and some of us paid at the last offer, lets see how many cut and run.

Tonyrelaxes - 04 Mar 2008 15:12 - 25855 of 27111

Wrong Robinhood, but lovely thought.

Actually it only needs about 20 trading days plus an hour or so on day 21 ! ( .008p + 50% p.day).

We could be rich by this time in April.

I wont work out how much that will exceed "35 by Christmas". LOL
How he must regret saying that.

Fred1new - 04 Mar 2008 15:16 - 25856 of 27111

Just bask in the dream for a little while.

My 10 shares will be worth 350.

Phew.

Tonyrelaxes - 04 Mar 2008 15:18 - 25857 of 27111

Jim
I thought .0075 was a barrier earlier today, twice we breached it and fell back. Probably 1p will be a phsycological point for locking in some of the rise.

My doubling up on Friday morning is reducing my losses here considerably. Still 6 figures, but now it starts with a 2.

robinhood - 04 Mar 2008 15:21 - 25858 of 27111

Tonyrelaxes- I used the actual increase p/s not the % increase. Eitherway who gives a toss whether it is 21 days or 140 days cos unfortunately we will both be wrong

automatic - 04 Mar 2008 15:24 - 25859 of 27111

tonyrelaxes, Man if i could bank your losses i could retire, hope it keeps going up for you

greekman - 04 Mar 2008 15:25 - 25860 of 27111

This is my latest take, for what it's worth!

With the sp rises over the last couple of days there has to be something positive in the wind. Reason being is this, Stanelco are required to release an RNS explaining such SP, movement. If there is no practical reason (speculation by the market) they would have to state as much, BUT they haven't so to me there must be something happening that they can't state due to confidentiality, or to do so would jeopardize a possible deal. The RNS re speculation plastics is a none news worthy item as far as I'm concerned, IE to me doesn't explain the huge SP movement.
So what they are not saying, says it all, If you see what I mean.

hewittalan6 - 04 Mar 2008 15:50 - 25861 of 27111

The question I want the answer to is who is buying them all?
No RNS about a change in shareholding, but surely it cannot be spread over several institutions / large shareholders so as not to trigger a 3% notification or 1% change.

halifax - 04 Mar 2008 15:54 - 25862 of 27111

You have forgotten SEO has 3 Billion shares issued , the total trades over the last few days dont amount to much.

hewittalan6 - 04 Mar 2008 16:01 - 25863 of 27111

Fag packet calculation is that 10% of the company has been traded in the last few days, so even if only half that were existing large holders buying, there would need to be more than 5 of them, or if half of it were new holders there would need to be 2!
