Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Thanks Hilary have followed instructions and it didn't work so seriously I have given up for tonight.
DC what a thing to say to Haystack - one is never too old to ride a train - Charlie Chaplain rode or so they say until a very late age - ha! ha! may be it wasn't a train. Won't elaborate any further. Have a good weekend all and enjoy the glorious weather and many thanks again to all who have tried to help this geriatric!!!!!

I will drive. I went there once with a girlfriend who had lived close by as a child, just up the road. It is Jacobean and similar to Hatfield House. They have a drive in cinema in the summer there. This summer they are showing Mamma Mia if you can stand it.

I have lots of happy drunken memories of Quendon. We were there in 1980 while the Iranian Embassy siege was on. We were playing croquet in the front garden. There was also a friend there from not far from Quendon who was a parliamentary correspondent and news broadcaster. He fretted all day long about whether to go into town because of the news. In the end he just kept drinking and watching the TV. I had taken another friend with us who got drunker and drunker. We lost him for a few hours and later we found him in the garden playing croquet in the pitch black. I am sure you know how dark it gets in Quendon. A few years later I was driving away from there in the dark. I was going very slowly to get used to the dark and got pulled by the police for driving too slowly. The police were convinced that I had stolen the car. They asked me the registration and I couldn't remember it. It was a Porsche 944 Turbo in guards red.

Well you see Junior I am not that much of a pea nut brain after all -apologies accepted. Must admit not very good at technical stuff i.e. sorting out computers but in the main pretty knowledgeable about life.
DC I love steam trains used to go to Norfolk not long ago for the 40's weekend and dressed accordingly. Happy days.

Don't worry about it Junior I am not. Just Chill it is my problem and it will get sorted - after all people have done their best. Thanks for putting the SOS out to skinny. I am sure if he could he would help - just relax that knee and stop bothering now. Have a pint or two. Oh! I lost one of my carp last week called Fang - floating on the top of the water - most destroyed I was but the other 5 are still surviving thankfully. My pond pump packed in and they were in dire straites lacking from of oxygen - got a new one now (pump) so all seems to be fine apart from one ghost koi having white spot so am treating the pond water but can only do it every 10 days so fingers crossed. Seriously chill out.

Haystack I really enjoyed the film Mamma Mia I thought the story was quite true to life. The music was fantastic, people were all up dancing in the cinema where I was and I was crying my eyes out at the end. However we are all different and that is what makes the world tick.

The film is a remake of Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell with Telly Savalas, Gina Lola etc. I just can't stand Pierce Brosnan singing or dancing.
