Tanfield Group - any info out there? (TAN)

mr mike - 21 Jan 2004 13:49

Tanfield Group is the new company name of Comeleon. As I understand it, Comoleon was getting into trouble so TAN (paerent company?) took over. Since this has happened the share price has dropped by 0.25p each day for the last week or so (on average) and are now around the 3p mark with very little activity.

Does anyone know much about this company or previously held stock in Comeleon? There is virtually no info out there other than on the company website.

cheers

Mike

I think the price drop is due more to the below due to its dilution factor.

I bought back TAN a little too early, but will continue to hold.

Just over a million O shares gone through after the auction - obviously not a great deal in the grand scheme of things.

with sp now 143, there is an inclination to go out buy ...... however, sp has fallen sharply though 25+50 dma and i see no obvious support until perhaps 130

You where a lot more bullish last week......

"having taken a while to buy into TAN, i am now a zealous convert"

bottom hadn't fallen out of the market then ...... am currently generally more inclined to take money out than put more in as there may still be more nastiness in the cupboard .... also, long w/e coming up and i shall be away cycling in Burgundy for the week so out of constant touch.

Sounds sensible. Was only winding you up. ;-)

You can say that again )-:

Not if you are drinking wine in Beaune.

Have a look at their market.

fyi, this morning sold my NAE holding at a modest profit, and topped up my holding in TAN to about 100% of norm

I take it you'll be using a stop loss while you're away......just in case.

prob not .... TAN is not that volatile and reckon it's a good long term hold anyway, though that does not and will not stop me trading a portion every so often

In general shares like TAN are going to be hit hard when there is a major market correction as a lot of "hot money " is going to evaporate.

cynic - 14 Aug 2007 20:24 - 273 of 1076

quite possibly, but i happen to think that TAN is a "real" company and not just some spivvy E&P that may just fluke a winner at 50/1

halifax - 14 Aug 2007 20:30 - 274 of 1076

There is little doubt TAN is a real company but consider their PER.

130p looks like next trend line support which coincides neatly with historical support at 135p or thereabouts; wouldn't like to be epsecially positive in this particualr market though :S

Does anyone know if the late trade reported this morning for 2.8million shares was a purchase or a sale.

cynic - 15 Aug 2007 08:24 - 278 of 1076

whatever! ..... i am afraid the torrid times return, and clearly i was premature in topping up yesterday
