Bunny's Beer Basement (BEER)

stockbunny - 30 Dec 2008 08:02

OK temporary accomodation for us ex-pats of Spacie's coffee house that is sadly now boarded up and in memory of Goldie's old pad the tearooms.

No fancy stuff, as this is temporary until we find a nice new place but it's warm down here with the fire and aga and I've organised a daily guinness, lager and wine delivery. There is a small kitchen in the corner and a few comfy cosy armchairs.

So feel free to take refuge when you need a break - self-service generally I'm afraid but when I can I'll rustle up a meal :>)

There are a few trees with mistletoe in them up here in North Wales. I'm not going to climb them however! There is a lot growing in the apple trees at National Trust property Erddig Hall. Not supposed to cut it though. ;o)

Any Mince pies left?

The escape is going well so far at the airport and checked in, bye bye Athens ....... I wont miss you.

kimoldfield - 10 Dec 2009 16:38 - 2592 of 4886

Well done Spacie, keep looking over your shoulder!

I've just put some mince into pastry cases and stuffed 'em in the oven. (Sniff, sniff) Hmm, strange....they smell like meat pies not mince pies. Have I done something wrong?

robertalexander - 11 Dec 2009 22:33 - 2593 of 4886

Hi Alex. I hope you enjoyed your Guinness and um, mince pie of dubious content! Sounds like a nice long holiday for you. Enjoy! :o)

KEAYDIAN - 14 Dec 2009 12:15 - 2595 of 4886

Did anyone bring the Chrsitmas decs from the Lambykins Cafe?

kimoldfield - 14 Dec 2009 12:53 - 2596 of 4886

Erm, well......there was this fella who said he'd bring them round in his truck and stick them in the back room.

How was I to know there isn't a back room here? :o(

KEAYDIAN - 14 Dec 2009 15:09 - 2597 of 4886

What a plonker.

Erm talking of trucks, the christmas tree has arrived.......Can you sign for it Kim? I've got to dash........bye

tabasco - 14 Dec 2009 15:14 - 2598 of 4886

Any suggestions for the fairy on top?

kimoldfield - 14 Dec 2009 16:01 - 2599 of 4886

I'm not risking making any suggestions Tabby! ;o)

(Scribble, scribble) There, that's the tree signed for.

Hey! wait a minute, I only wanted one! Stop!! Come back!.......oh dear. :o(

tabasco - 14 Dec 2009 16:14 - 2600 of 4886

Kimdoes it begin with a p?

kimoldfield - 14 Dec 2009 16:36 - 2601 of 4886

We can't have fairies "p"eeing on our tree(s). Bunny will shout at us! :o)

tabasco - 14 Dec 2009 16:48 - 2602 of 4886

I think the top of the tree inserted correctly would prevent leakagecould be a crowd puller?Bunny could do with the extra business.and people would pay good money.

kimoldfield - 14 Dec 2009 17:51 - 2603 of 4886

First things "fir"st, we've got to find a place for all these trees!

Lambykins - 14 Dec 2009 19:48 - 2604 of 4886

i am not a fairy and i am not going on top of the christmas tree

i am a lamb

jeffmack - 14 Dec 2009 19:49 - 2605 of 4886

Lamby cant go on the tree. We are having him for boxing day dinner

KEAYDIAN - 14 Dec 2009 23:20 - 2606 of 4886

How's about a rota?

We can take it in turns.

kimoldfield - 15 Dec 2009 00:36 - 2607 of 4886

Eh? What's that? Did someone mention a rotary spit turning?, with a lamb on it? (sniff, sniff) hmm, can't smell anything but Christmas trees.

tabasco - 15 Dec 2009 08:49 - 2608 of 4886

Kimhave you worked out how you are going to tell Bunny you signed for 100 trees in her namethen there are the decorations you lostLamby refuses to go on top of the treeand you can count me outpink aint my colourall in all you are in deepdeep.that reminds me I know where I can get my hands on a job lot of brown Father ChristmasesI think there is tinsel as well look great on the treesthey were ordered by this eccentic American singertragiche diedstory goes he was rocking with a robin and fell out of one of last years treesnever mindwe can get them for a songbit of tinsel strategically placed and Ive got you out of troublewhat say youI dont even want a drink out of it?

kimoldfield - 15 Dec 2009 09:08 - 2609 of 4886

That could be a way out Tabby! We've only got 90 trees now though. This fella came to the door wanting to buy 10 so I thought it would be good business. We loaded all but 1 on to his truck then he said he would just nip into his cabin to get his wallet whilst I loaded the last one.............

I expect he will come back when he remembers he hasn't paid. :o(
