alan .... as always, your view worth consideration .... however, given that SEO sp started from ZERO, a 5-fold increase, while sounding impressive, is not that significant in monetary terms, especially in the light of where sp was say 2 years back (15p), even if volumes are huge .... i remain sceptical or even cynical!

Often you see forced RNS releases by companies who see their share price move by 10/15% either way in a days trading, so again with No release (I'm still looking at the last RNS as a none substance release) with an SP increase of 30% plus in a trading day, SEO are in a cleft stick position of not being able to clarify a known reason due to confidentiality. I has to be something substantial is in the offing.
But they can't say anything categoric, so they have to keep stum.
I just don't believe it is anything to do with vague discussions with other parties.
All IMHO of course.

Oblo will be in for another nice surprise when he 'slides' in from a hard day out in the white. Up another 37%.
Not done StA. Usually go to France. Flaine next week. Good for all abilities, but bland boring architecture.

Alan
The RNS last Friday was a fanfare from SEO, look at us, look at what we can do for you, and it worked.
As for whats driving the SP, I have to say from reading other BBs, one or two PIs who have recently{last year or so} invested about 300k at .80p down to .20p, have been very busy ramping, and I thank them for all their efforts.
Yes I'm in profit at long bleedin last.

It's all about bags. Bags of money; I wonder who will end up with them?

It's all about fanfares. Fanfares with biodegradable trumpets.
I'll get my coat.

Is it a biodegradable coat? It's either that or the moths have been eating it, it is in a hell of a state!

Patisear,
I hear what you say, but there have been unlimited opportunities to self ramp!!! Something must have sparked last weeks RNS.
Things I have read or heard today include a large investor saying he expects to sell at 3p. Rumour mongers stating that M&S know the charge for plastic bags is unpopular and are using it as a stop gap for their "plan A" until they have full production available of Bioplast based bags. Rumor monkeys saying British Polythene are negotiating to buy SEO and put themselves at the forefront of Bioplastics, or to create a JV to build a production and testing plant, and a final rumour monkey saying that the Co-op are about to sign. Lord knows what they will sign for cos SEO don't appear to have the production facility sorted.
There are more rumours than shareholders at the moment and I don't believe any, but the closest may well be the JV one, because a previous SEO RNS did say that 2008 Q1 would see an extrusion and testing plant opened.
Roll up and take your pick, and remember to tune in for tomorrows exciting episode.
I'll just wait and see, because the rumours I have heard do not make much sense so i believe them all to be false.

certainly would not believe the M&S one as it is just UK who are so far behind Europe in charging for bags

Patishear.
Well done being in profit.
I am still into 3 figure losses but it very nearly starts with a 1 now.
And that is a real result considering it was well in the 4s not so long ago!
Somewhere around 3p will do it!
Fine hope, to be truthful, but you never know - they said a Bumble Bee can't fly and the World is flat.

One day a tv series will be made about all this, a black comedy, and the players will be some of the jokers on the other threads !! Hi Tony I'm about 1/4 of a pence off break even, even becoming cocky with myself and thinking about profit!!! Good luck to all. Cheers.

I've seen a flat Bumble Bee. It was on my non-biodegradable windscreen. The car's been round the world in mileage though.
