PATISEAR - 05 Mar 2008 17:03 - 25935 of 27111

Alan

The RNS last Friday was a fanfare from SEO, look at us, look at what we can do for you, and it worked.
As for whats driving the SP, I have to say from reading other BBs, one or two PIs who have recently{last year or so} invested about 300k at .80p down to .20p, have been very busy ramping, and I thank them for all their efforts.
Yes I'm in profit at long bleedin last.

kimoldfield - 05 Mar 2008 17:05 - 25936 of 27111

It's all about bags. Bags of money; I wonder who will end up with them?

PATISEAR - 05 Mar 2008 17:26 - 25937 of 27111

It's all about fanfares. Fanfares with biodegradable trumpets.

I'll get my coat.

kimoldfield - 05 Mar 2008 17:39 - 25938 of 27111

Is it a biodegradable coat? It's either that or the moths have been eating it, it is in a hell of a state!

hewittalan6 - 05 Mar 2008 17:42 - 25939 of 27111

Patisear,
I hear what you say, but there have been unlimited opportunities to self ramp!!! Something must have sparked last weeks RNS.
Things I have read or heard today include a large investor saying he expects to sell at 3p. Rumour mongers stating that M&S know the charge for plastic bags is unpopular and are using it as a stop gap for their "plan A" until they have full production available of Bioplast based bags. Rumor monkeys saying British Polythene are negotiating to buy SEO and put themselves at the forefront of Bioplastics, or to create a JV to build a production and testing plant, and a final rumour monkey saying that the Co-op are about to sign. Lord knows what they will sign for cos SEO don't appear to have the production facility sorted.
There are more rumours than shareholders at the moment and I don't believe any, but the closest may well be the JV one, because a previous SEO RNS did say that 2008 Q1 would see an extrusion and testing plant opened.
Roll up and take your pick, and remember to tune in for tomorrows exciting episode.
I'll just wait and see, because the rumours I have heard do not make much sense so i believe them all to be false.

cynic - 05 Mar 2008 17:47 - 25940 of 27111

certainly would not believe the M&S one as it is just UK who are so far behind Europe in charging for bags

Tonyrelaxes - 05 Mar 2008 17:47 - 25941 of 27111

Patishear.
Well done being in profit.

I am still into 3 figure losses but it very nearly starts with a 1 now.
And that is a real result considering it was well in the 4s not so long ago!
Somewhere around 3p will do it!
Fine hope, to be truthful, but you never know - they said a Bumble Bee can't fly and the World is flat.

boldtrader - 05 Mar 2008 17:52 - 25942 of 27111

One day a tv series will be made about all this, a black comedy, and the players will be some of the jokers on the other threads !! Hi Tony I'm about 1/4 of a pence off break even, even becoming cocky with myself and thinking about profit!!! Good luck to all. Cheers.

greekman - 05 Mar 2008 17:53 - 25943 of 27111

OK on hols now for 2 weeks. Keep an eye on SEO for me.

Regards Greek

kimoldfield - 05 Mar 2008 17:55 - 25944 of 27111

I've seen a flat Bumble Bee. It was on my non-biodegradable windscreen. The car's been round the world in mileage though.

kimoldfield - 05 Mar 2008 17:56 - 25945 of 27111

Have a good holiday Greek. SEO will be 35 when you get back!

magicmick - 05 Mar 2008 17:59 - 25946 of 27111

We welcome the press interest in this subject; Stanelco is well placed to
supply the materials required to make plastic products that use sustainable
resources and minimise man's impact on the environment. Adoption of our green
technology is growing rapidly and customer interest is high; and we are working
with our partners and customers to deliver this as rapidly as possible'

this is the last paragraph in the last rns. i wonder if there is anything in that
to sugest anything happening the backround. That,s me trying to read between
the lines. Any comments.

jaguar121 - 05 Mar 2008 18:01 - 25947 of 27111

Bring back Greenseal !!!!!!!!!!1

tweenie - 05 Mar 2008 18:26 - 25948 of 27111

Had to actually do some work for a couple of hours and was expecting a drop in sp at close to below 1p
:-)

I now belive that GREANSEAL technology has been adapted by the alchemists at STANELCO and will convert JAM TOMORROW into GOLD today!!!!! and the by products when relased into the air bring peace and love to the world.

unfortunately.. the dark side of me half expects a PMINES result statement that will F@@K up this calm happy feeling i'm having and haven't experiencve for oh say almost 3 years.

Roll on 4p
Hoperfully

kimoldfield - 05 Mar 2008 18:27 - 25949 of 27111

My main worry is this:-

"Adoption of our green technology is growing rapidly and customer interest is high; and we are working with our partners and customers to deliver this as rapidly as possible"

If this is the case, why release an RNS to say that, when Prelims are due; what's a couple of weeks? It would not affect the whole picture, if sales are imminent so be it; the sp would rise as a result of those sales. Makes me think it was just to push up the sp at an opportunist moment in the hope that it will not fall all the way back on release of the results, and maybe it was to satisfy the Institutions who saved SEO's bacon last year. Ordinary shareholders will have been 'trapped' again. I really hope that I am wrong, very wrong!
I also hope that SEO's bacon was wrapped in Bioplast.

tweenie - 05 Mar 2008 19:18 - 25950 of 27111

From the DEFRA site. With the budget in 2 weeks. who knows?

Are there any plans to introduce a tax on plastic bags?
There are no current plans for a plastic bag tax, but the Government keeps all taxation under review. All taxation measures are a matter for the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

What is the Government's position with regard to the introduction of biodegradable plastic bags?
The Government has taken a keen interest in the issue of biodegradable plastic and has met with representatives of the plastics industry in this regard. The Government accepts that biodegradable plastic has a place in the market, it also supports the development of biodegradable plastics from non-fossil fuel sources. The Government Industry Forum on Non-Food Uses of Crops was set up in March 2001 to provide strategic advice to Government and industry on the development of non-food uses of crops.

I'm with you on this KIM. Can't shake that feeling that PM and SEO are about to shaft pi's again.
the only saving grace is that at least i'll get some money back before the exodus.
I planned on holding till at least 2010 when WRAP kicks in. But I don't know if my heart/nerves can take it.
:-)

PATISEAR - 05 Mar 2008 20:19 - 25951 of 27111

At the risk of upsetting some people, I will make a prediction for tomorrow.
If at market opening time tomorrow, we do not have an RNS from SEO, then I expect the SP to rise to possibly 1.12p to get the punters in/hooked, then because there is still no justifiable reason for 400%+ rise, for the Sp to drop back to sub .85p which will trigger 'Stops'. This could cause punters to lock in what gains they may have.
In reality, all we have is, we know the Results are in the next two weeks {14 March} and 'that fanfare' RNS. NOTHING MORE.
I am very happy with my profits and wish you all well in your investments.
I have watched very closely all the trades, and today's afternoon was the slowest period in the last five days. They were barley trading 2mil an hour up to 16.00pm.
This leads me to believe the 'Brokers' are short of shares, and the best way to get them is to trigger 'stops'.
This is just my opinion and I hope it does not upset anyone.
GL.

"We are all pi**ing in the dark on this one-but as long it does not get over my trousers ......who cares!!"

The directors have been on the inside pi**ing out for years, so if I were you I'd check your trouser now!

Oh, and Cynic, in spite of your cleverness, a fivefold increase on shares bought at 0.20p still makes 5 X your money however small the SP is in absolute terms.
