Had to actually do some work for a couple of hours and was expecting a drop in sp at close to below 1p
:-)
I now belive that GREANSEAL technology has been adapted by the alchemists at STANELCO and will convert JAM TOMORROW into GOLD today!!!!! and the by products when relased into the air bring peace and love to the world.
unfortunately.. the dark side of me half expects a PMINES result statement that will F@@K up this calm happy feeling i'm having and haven't experiencve for oh say almost 3 years.
Roll on 4p
Hoperfully

My main worry is this:-
"Adoption of our green technology is growing rapidly and customer interest is high; and we are working with our partners and customers to deliver this as rapidly as possible"
If this is the case, why release an RNS to say that, when Prelims are due; what's a couple of weeks? It would not affect the whole picture, if sales are imminent so be it; the sp would rise as a result of those sales. Makes me think it was just to push up the sp at an opportunist moment in the hope that it will not fall all the way back on release of the results, and maybe it was to satisfy the Institutions who saved SEO's bacon last year. Ordinary shareholders will have been 'trapped' again. I really hope that I am wrong, very wrong!
I also hope that SEO's bacon was wrapped in Bioplast.

From the DEFRA site. With the budget in 2 weeks. who knows?
Are there any plans to introduce a tax on plastic bags?
There are no current plans for a plastic bag tax, but the Government keeps all taxation under review. All taxation measures are a matter for the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
What is the Government's position with regard to the introduction of biodegradable plastic bags?
The Government has taken a keen interest in the issue of biodegradable plastic and has met with representatives of the plastics industry in this regard. The Government accepts that biodegradable plastic has a place in the market, it also supports the development of biodegradable plastics from non-fossil fuel sources. The Government Industry Forum on Non-Food Uses of Crops was set up in March 2001 to provide strategic advice to Government and industry on the development of non-food uses of crops.
I'm with you on this KIM. Can't shake that feeling that PM and SEO are about to shaft pi's again.
the only saving grace is that at least i'll get some money back before the exodus.
I planned on holding till at least 2010 when WRAP kicks in. But I don't know if my heart/nerves can take it.

At the risk of upsetting some people, I will make a prediction for tomorrow.
If at market opening time tomorrow, we do not have an RNS from SEO, then I expect the SP to rise to possibly 1.12p to get the punters in/hooked, then because there is still no justifiable reason for 400%+ rise, for the Sp to drop back to sub .85p which will trigger 'Stops'. This could cause punters to lock in what gains they may have.
In reality, all we have is, we know the Results are in the next two weeks {14 March} and 'that fanfare' RNS. NOTHING MORE.
I am very happy with my profits and wish you all well in your investments.
I have watched very closely all the trades, and today's afternoon was the slowest period in the last five days. They were barley trading 2mil an hour up to 16.00pm.
This leads me to believe the 'Brokers' are short of shares, and the best way to get them is to trigger 'stops'.
This is just my opinion and I hope it does not upset anyone.
GL.

"We are all pi**ing in the dark on this one-but as long it does not get over my trousers ......who cares!!"
The directors have been on the inside pi**ing out for years, so if I were you I'd check your trouser now!
Oh, and Cynic, in spite of your cleverness, a fivefold increase on shares bought at 0.20p still makes 5 X your money however small the SP is in absolute terms.

He's still trying to find his bio-degradable trumpet...!! I reckon Stanelco board tested the bio-degradable suits of armour for the AGM and figured they'd better come up with something else quick.

Tony,
skiied Flaine few years back - skiing better than architecture, though I have heard recently there are plans afootto knock it down an replace it!
Sunny day tomorrow after much snow and difficult conditions - BIG dumps of snow forecast next week alps-wide! Enjoy!!!!!!
Pleased to hear your losses are reducing - you've probably suffered more than anyone here.
Kim,
'If this is the case, why release an RNS to say that, when Prelims are due; what's a couple of weeks? '
The RNS was released when the SP was at 'rock-bottom' - could it have been a desperate measure to attempt to 'keep the wolf from the door'? - playing for time, maybe?

Congratulations to those who bought at the absolute bottom and have enjoyed the rise (wish I was one of them ...malheureusement...), but this is Stanelco... you know... Stanelco... the company that promises and never delivers, let's keep some reality here...the only reason for the rise is speculation, if everybody buys then anything will rise even a dud...this is like sheep jumping of a cliff, as for plastic bags...banning them is not going to save the world , if everybody recycled them then would be no problem, instead they dump them in the seas and countryside, so at the moment looks like we are back to the good old days of SEO nonsense rises !

But would mere speculation prompt the kind of buys we've seen this week, given SEO's history?
It did once, but 'once bitten....'
The buys have been in big blocks - looks professional, not old ladies raiding the housekeeping.

The 29 Feb RNS was titled "Speculation re Plastics".
When are we going to get one "Speculation in Share Price".
Surely far more important and currently relevant.

That has been puzzling me I must admit, given SEO's history you would think that punters would stay well clear: there could be 3 reasons:- 1. The buyers could be day traders with balls of steel. 2. The buyers could have info we are not privy to. 3. Insanity has taken over!

Mention in the FT today -
Stanelco , which produces biodegradable plastics made from corn and potato starch, moved above the 1p mark for the first time since May as debate about plastic bag use reignited interest in its technology. But the 36.7 per cent rise to 1.08p, leaves the shares a far cry from their 25p peak in 2005.
