Just a short note.
As some of you will be aware, I lost my Mum to terminal cancer on January 17th this year at the age of 62. Having lost my Father to cancer when I was 12 years old, cancer research has become very close to my heart. My wife and I have decided that where and when we can, we will try to help boost their coffers.
My wife Ruth has decided to do the Race for Life, in June in memory of her, and therefore, if any of you who have met or know me from various functions and/or these bulletin boards, should you wish to sponsor her, you can do so by clicking donate below:
Thanks for your time with this matter.
Ian
EDIT: I just wanted to say a big heartfelt thank you to all of your who have contributed - we reached our target, which although relatively modest means a lot to me.
UPDATE:
Well, I was very proud of Ruth and the 4000 or so other participants at Crystal Palace on Sunday, it was a genuinely moving experience to see all those people doing something for charity due to their lives being directly or indirectly affected by cancer.
Ruth did the run in just over 38mins which is pretty good, and we had a great day out in the sun! We managed to raised just over 600 in the end, which made me feel very proud, that Ruth had done this in Mums name. Thank you one and all!
Ian

Optomistic,
Hope you are not just posting to keep this in the limelight. I also noticed the fund is only just 15 short of target.
Regards Greek.

I would have thought Cynic could have put the 15 in with all the profits he's made(if you believe that lol) I might be wrong but I haven't seen his name here yet. A bit of pressure from us to get his hands into those deep pockets of his. lol :)))

Ian,
Just a final good luck for your wife, as I will be well away from my computer from the 15th for 2 weeks. Nice to see target almost reached.

Morning Ian,
Hope Ruth enjoyed her run and is not suffering too many aches and pains.
Nice to see the target was smashed.
