Oxus Gold (OXS)

Scottie - 04 Dec 2003 14:50

To clear up any confusion regarding the share allocation of Marakand shares to holders of Oxus shares. ------ Anyone buying shares in Oxus today will be entitled to a 'dividend' of 1 share in MKD for every 10 in OXS.

phobos - 11 Dec 2003 17:01 - 31 of 52

was tempted to hit the sell button this afternoon, however the goldbugs index is up in the States, after being down the last couple of days,so fingers and legs crossed for tommorrow !!!!!!!!!!

Scottie - 11 Dec 2003 18:54 - 32 of 52

phobos, I think some buyers jumped in on Oxus in the last couple of weeks due to the confusion over the date for qualification for the Marakand ' dividend '. Some of the buyers decided to sell today in the expectation that the price will drop and they can then buy back in again at some later date. One of the problems with that strategy is that the price may not drop any further before the results of the gold pour are announced. Assuming that these results are up to expectations the price will go North again.

Andy - 11 Dec 2003 18:58 - 33 of 52

Scottie,

Agreed, too risky to try and trade it now, IMHO.

Gold pour really could be announced any day, it's only a couple of weeks to Xmas, and they did start early, and at one point I believe they were considered to be ahead of schedule.

You never know, I'm staying put.

aimtrader - 12 Dec 2003 00:21 - 34 of 52

Guys,

Gold held steady again today, I see no reason to sell Oxus, in fact that would seem foolish with possibly very good news close at hand.

I do feel there will be a wave of buying just before the EGM, if not before as hot money tries to time their buy just before the gold pour.

phobos - 12 Dec 2003 10:47 - 35 of 52

In case there is any confusion, when I said I was thinking of hiting the sell button, was refering to MLW not Oxus !!!!! Good luck to all you guys who have made heaps in Oxus..........see MLW is up 2p today anyway.........

OXUS FAST TRACKS SILVER PROJECT IN UZBEKISTAN

London, 14 April 2004 - Oxus Gold plc ('Oxus') today announces that it has
decided to accelerate the development of its Vysokovoltnoye Project at the
Amantaytau Goldfields mine in Uzbekistan. It is planned to produce the first
silver and gold from this project during Q1 2005. The principal reason for this
acceleration is the recent significant increase in the price of silver.

The Vysokovoltnoye project will be funded out of cash flow generated by the
Amantaytau Oxide project and has a net present value of US$54.8m at a discount
rate of 10% pa. over seven years.

The three orebodies have JORC classified resources of 14.01 million oz of silver
and 0.49 million oz of gold contained in the shallow oxide zone. One of the
orebodies, OB7, has silver grades of 127g/t. The sulphide orebodies, known to
exist below the oxide deposits, have not been taken into account in the net
present value evaluation detailed herein. Additional satellite deposits in the
area can be processed through this plant.

Bill Trew, Oxus CEO, commented, 'With the Oxus team's track record in
Uzbekistan, bringing the AGF Oxide operation into production in record time, I
am confident that, by accelerating the development of Vysokovoltnoye, we will be
well placed to take advantage of higher silver prices. This will enable us to
unlock additional value for Oxus shareholders and will be beneficial for
Uzbekistan and its people.'

Ajren,

A poster on another BB has confirmed that Oxus have sucessfully exported gold, and been paid.

He quotes Ooxus, so as i expect every cpmpany keep a beady eye on their thread from time to time, whilst we cannot verify the post, i'm reasonably confident.

I saw in the latest SHARES-mag that Seymour Price gave Oxus Gold a targetprice of 122, and also a recommendation of 'outperform'. Does anybody know of any other recommendations for Oxus Gold?

Andy - 26 Apr 2004 22:45 - 42 of 52

Sconradie,

Well this news was certainly needed!

Notice the well chosed words to specifacally confirm that the gold has
been "exported and sold on the London market"!

Thanks Bill, this is exactly what was needed, and maybe we can breakout from the downtrend now?

AMANTAYTAU GOLDFIELDS TRADING UPDATE

London, 26 April 2004 - Oxus Gold plc ('Oxus') (OXS.L) is pleased to present an
initial trading update on its phase 1 gold mine at Amantaytau Goldfields ('AGF')
in Uzbekistan.

First gold was poured in January 2004, followed by the commencement of
commercial operations on 1 February 2004. In the two months to 31 March 2004,
AGF produced 21,147 ounces of refined gold, all of which has been exported and
sold on the London market.

Initial cash operating costs of US$139/oz are expected to reduce to forecast
levels of US$110/oz with ongoing process optimisation and production build-up to
full design capacity.

April production is on target and Oxus is pleased to report that AGF will be in
a position to make the first repayment against the US$36 million project finance
loan on time at the end of April. In addition, by the end of April 2004, AGF
will already have discharged approximately 11% of its hedging obligations.

Bill Trew, CEO of Oxus, commented 'For a start-up operation, these are very
robust numbers from AGF which clearly demonstrate the quality of this mine. As
time goes on, I am confident that AGF will exceed its cost and production
targets. I wish to offer my congratulations to all concerned.'

Cheer up Oxies (hi Andy). This is the news I was waiting for, at least that is how it sprang out this morning, so I have dipped in today. It is only a toe in the water; I will look to add on a higher low (not a lower one)

sconradie - 27 Apr 2004 00:27 - 44 of 52

Ahh, finally some good news! I hope this will be the end of the downtrend- It seems like Oxus is a strong company, so I could not understand the big drop in there price the last few weeks. (Well they say what goes down goes up also, so let's see:) I've just been on there website, and I must say it is a very nice website.
