Funny old day wasnt it?
Despite an early surge in the US UK shares closed only 15 points up on average volumes.
Traders spent a lot of time trying to call which way Barclays was going to go next and just when all the excitement for the day seemed to be over Revival Acquisitions, which is owned by Philip Green and his family, surprised the Markets and said it intends to approach the board of M&S in the next few days with a proposal.
I say surprised but a close look at the price action before the announcement made many wonder if someone knew and with the timing of the announcement unusual if a phone call or two was made to force it.
Just goes to show if something strange is happening to a share for no obvious reason against the expected trend someone knows something
And those closer to the bottom of the food train like us should take note.
