I just pointed out that firstly I was not looking for a conversation and secondly he was homeless because he was stinking of drink and even a homeless shelter wouldn't take him. He started to shout at me and was ejected by station staff.

The whole business about Clegg saying that he would not accept or vote for student fees is nonsense. Labour would have raised fees as well as the Conservatives. That would have meant no coalition with either party and an instant election. The other alternative was a Conservative minority government held up by the Ulster unionists and some SNPs if they were bribed as they indicated at the time.

The increase in student fees was a good thing. I say that with one son at uni and one going in two years time. They both think the fees are a good thing as well. The scheme is an improvement of Labour's old system as the limit before paying back is much higher and the repayments are less.

Why are so many people leaving the Adven thread? - Not that I have ever used it as am quite happy on here - some might not be happy with me!!!!! Seems strange to see so many new comers - just a question not a criticism.

Oh! fine Acer, I don't pay for money a.m. and have no intention of doing so. If they ever say they will do the same as Adven, I would miss my chats with a few who have helped and given advice over the years but certainly would not pay. Hope money a.m. keeps a happy healthy board/service.

On reflection, I do not think that is going to happen. Chats on here will soon be depleted as we knew them but everything in life is only temporary, sad but true. I would miss dc., debacles with cynic, and junior.

I'm sure Ian will be delighted to have more posters over here. There are some really good posters on ADVFN and many of the free threads get spoiled by the nutters. It's not a closed shop here or a question of 'them and us', as far as I'm concerned more debate about specific shares on these threads is welcome.
