They have stopped non blue posters, i.e. non payers, from posting links. They say it's to stop spamming but it's just a scam to get people to pay. Let's hope even more come over.

Oh! fine Acer, I don't pay for money a.m. and have no intention of doing so. If they ever say they will do the same as Adven, I would miss my chats with a few who have helped and given advice over the years but certainly would not pay. Hope money a.m. keeps a happy healthy board/service.

On reflection, I do not think that is going to happen. Chats on here will soon be depleted as we knew them but everything in life is only temporary, sad but true. I would miss dc., debacles with cynic, and junior.

I'm sure Ian will be delighted to have more posters over here. There are some really good posters on ADVFN and many of the free threads get spoiled by the nutters. It's not a closed shop here or a question of 'them and us', as far as I'm concerned more debate about specific shares on these threads is welcome.

Yep already had problems myself. Us established posters need to stick together and cut trouble out if it starts.

if they start getting too silly, they will be squelched at the very least, or if warranted, booted out like T-bonehead and MRSI
it will be very sad if this site is allowed to degenerate to the childish and tiresome levels i saw in my 20 minute sojourn at advfn

Yep im with you on that Cyners. Self regulation used to work on sharecrazy.

Hopefully most of them will bugger off to iii but problem up their is having to register by phone or it was 18 months back. So they may start migrating here.

You may not swear or curse, but the images, which you seem deliberately to try to conjure up with you postings, are often profane.

Often, it seems to me that the goal of many of the postings are deliberately chosen to stimulate nationalistic, or racial friction.

Some remind, me of the Nationalistic fervour of the 1930s in Germany and some elements of the same in the UK, which used the disharmony to further their cause, by pointing to the failures of others than examine their own.

(This seems to be a feature of R/wing politics.)

(Just an opinion.)
