If sp goes below .50 by close I will probably be mad enough to squander some more hard earned cash, unless nurse catches me first.

Not sure this will drop any more...market makers know there are a heck of a lot of crazy punters out there !..and Barclays ...I thought I was nuts !

This is a bit like Monopoly when you distract your mates...(Isn't that the phone ringing ?) and you move their positions back !

Perhaps Barc were dumping and buying to attract attention before dumping all their holdings!

Evil thought, as Directors are not able to buy during the close period, maybe Barclays are holding shares on their behalf? Is it possible to do that?

Required field, kimoldfield and hewittalan,
If you are referring to the RNS yesterday about Barclays crossing a threshold
Barclays 366,707,756 12.18%
It's because Barclays almalgamate all the nominee holders purchases together.

Oh that??
I considered it a splendid irrelevancy, considering the number of times it switched between 11 & 12% in the month or so before that!
Or was that Schroders? No idea, but a change of 1% doesn't account for what happened.

At a guess what's going to happen at the results : 1, consolidation possibly, 2, in discussions as usual with loads of interest from customers ex: Asda and Tesco, 3, Losses but this time not quite so bad, and this is where there could be a price mark up from the market makers ;

My guess is similar, but no consolidation.
Plenty of jam tomorrow hype about interests from retail, losses better than before but nothing new in that, higher than expected pipeline from Biotec, new extrusion and testing plant delayed by negotiations with an interested party.
Nothing solid at all, but a few promises. Difference being SEO promises are a rare coin now and should not be confused with the old hype. Particularly coming on the heels of a buying frenzy.
Thats my guess anyway.

Barclays had a big share holding in biofuels and they went belly up so don't think just because baclays has a big holding that things are looking up.
