Perhaps Barc were dumping and buying to attract attention before dumping all their holdings!

kimoldfield - 07 Mar 2008 11:27 - 26049 of 27111

Mmmmm, personal note to self:- never play Monopoly with required field!

required field - 07 Mar 2008 11:30 - 26050 of 27111

I think you could add RAB in MRP Fred1new.

required field - 07 Mar 2008 11:31 - 26051 of 27111

I can't believe it..the offer price is more that what I paid for it !

kimoldfield - 07 Mar 2008 11:32 - 26052 of 27111

Evil thought, as Directors are not able to buy during the close period, maybe Barclays are holding shares on their behalf? Is it possible to do that?

hewittalan6 - 07 Mar 2008 11:32 - 26053 of 27111

Erm..............am I being terminally stupid, but what is the Barclays reference all about?

kimoldfield - 07 Mar 2008 11:37 - 26054 of 27111

RNS of 6 March Alan? Increasing holding from 11 to 12%; I presume anyway!

required field - 07 Mar 2008 11:39 - 26055 of 27111

Search me ..I only work here !

Bluelady - 07 Mar 2008 11:39 - 26056 of 27111

Required field, kimoldfield and hewittalan,

If you are referring to the RNS yesterday about Barclays crossing a threshold

Barclays 366,707,756 12.18%

It's because Barclays almalgamate all the nominee holders purchases together.

hewittalan6 - 07 Mar 2008 11:40 - 26057 of 27111

Oh that??
I considered it a splendid irrelevancy, considering the number of times it switched between 11 & 12% in the month or so before that!
Or was that Schroders? No idea, but a change of 1% doesn't account for what happened.

markbov - 07 Mar 2008 11:47 - 26058 of 27111

up down up down, still sitting on a big loss on seo,but like many others have written it off as a loss long ago,but you never know maybe just maybe we will get a little surprise from seo.35 for xmas, see you all at the big party.(tee-hee).

required field - 07 Mar 2008 11:54 - 26059 of 27111

At a guess what's going to happen at the results : 1, consolidation possibly, 2, in discussions as usual with loads of interest from customers ex: Asda and Tesco, 3, Losses but this time not quite so bad, and this is where there could be a price mark up from the market makers ;

hewittalan6 - 07 Mar 2008 12:00 - 26060 of 27111

My guess is similar, but no consolidation.
Plenty of jam tomorrow hype about interests from retail, losses better than before but nothing new in that, higher than expected pipeline from Biotec, new extrusion and testing plant delayed by negotiations with an interested party.
Nothing solid at all, but a few promises. Difference being SEO promises are a rare coin now and should not be confused with the old hype. Particularly coming on the heels of a buying frenzy.
Thats my guess anyway.

unluckyboy - 07 Mar 2008 12:02 - 26061 of 27111

Barclays had a big share holding in biofuels and they went belly up so don't think just because baclays has a big holding that things are looking up.

tweenie - 07 Mar 2008 12:32 - 26062 of 27111

Have just had my first oppotunity to look at sp. what a morning. glad I missed it.
:-)
I genuinely feel for any new ip who brought in to this fiasco in this recent rush. Any long term holders who topped up- well, you really should know better.
I was tempted but under threat of death/divorce, I did'nt.
What does the future hold for SEO?
The potential in my eyes is huge
The counterpoint is that over the past 3 years the various managements have collectively lied(possibly)/misrepresented(probably)/exagerated(definitely) their positions/abilities/deals/progress.
All this has resulted in the sp being hyped to 30p+ and back down to almost .01p.

Does the current management know what it's doing?
YES. they have successfully managed to obliterate the sp to a point where even long term committed investers have written off their stock as a loss and therefore expect nothing from them.

This, (IMHO) places them in an ideal position to get sp upto 2p and claim it's a success.
Will they be able to achieve this?

WTFDIK.

you pays your money and makes your choice.
I won't be buying. I won't be selling.

Welcome to SEO.

The home of the long term weary invester.
Medical recommended. any persons with heart conditions, suffering from depression or of a pleasant disposition should seek professional help first before jumping onboard.

DYOR.

See you at the agm. i'll be the one sat at the back rocking back and forth and foaming at the mouth with the insane grin.
Feel free to say hello.

ps Hows everyone else feel?

required field - 07 Mar 2008 12:36 - 26063 of 27111

Starting to rise now ...drop possibly overdone this morning !

required field - 07 Mar 2008 12:46 - 26064 of 27111

Now showing a profit...come on SEO we all love you (I think) !

hangon - 07 Mar 2008 13:14 - 26065 of 27111

Down 10% - reflects SEO - oder-book.
I've been exercising in preparation for the next AGM - need to strengthen both heart and stomach . . . . anyone else? (I tend to sit mid-way, near ther window - and last year there was a cheeky pigeon demanding a biscuit, but I had to turn out my pockets to show him I had nothing. What a cheek - almost matched by SEO management, on the warm-side of the glass, eh?).

required field - 07 Mar 2008 13:18 - 26066 of 27111

If you could wipe away all the history about this stock...you could talk about this being a possible future gem...but the history is there and it is still haunting this company !

Fred1new - 07 Mar 2008 15:29 - 26067 of 27111

Looking around at some of the trades on smaller companies by the larger "investment" companies I am wondering if some of the trades are forced due to the overall market drop. Trying to remember how much cash the big "investment" companies have to hold on their books!
