Very nice tipple that Snoball.
Hard to come by, so I stick to the southern comfort.

Jeffmack: I wanted to keep my old mobile number which takes a week to transfer so I had to ask o2 to take off and reprovision the GPRS and MMS because they haven't downloaded correctly for the temporary number. This means I can't gain access to the internet yet, but everything works brilliantly....apart from that slight hiccup! How is your new toy? Enjoying it?

snoball - 29 Oct 2003 00:52 - 2610 of 23498

Lol, 8 ball.

zarif - 29 Oct 2003 14:28 - 2613 of 23498

Afternoon everybody:
time for a quick cuppa before the yankee market auction starts. i have got a short open from lastnight which is looking v.healthy at present-so hope it goes down like a stone and the Auctioneer is not taking bids from the Aisle and Chandeliers to move the market up- i think its going to go down then up.So with a refreshed brain with the cuppa should do the trick.

good luck with all your trades

If the teas are on you I'll have a Celia Imry Bun and a cup of nice hot rosy, thanks. Well done on your DOW short, looks like you closed just in time.

My shares all seem to be in noddy land today, except for PRV which suddenly seems to have woken up. Must look for something new to have a dabble in.

Hilary
What's this PDL you mentioned , is it too late or shall I have a peek at it?

jeffmack - 29 Oct 2003 17:57 - 2618 of 23498

Socs
Wakey, Wakey. It was me that mentioned PDL and LW responded. I know I've got better legs than Hilary, if not a bit hairier, but the similarity ends there.

Over and out wing commando

Socrates - 29 Oct 2003 18:06 - 2619 of 23498

Sorry Jeff, senior moment there. As regards Hilary's legs, I very much doubt yours are better. If they are you have a serious problem!

So what's with PDL, tell all.

jeffmack - 29 Oct 2003 18:13 - 2620 of 23498

Mr LW is the man, he has his ear to the ground in SA and a couple of friends in the diamond business. I just have some tucked away and will look for my certificate when they reach a 1

little willie - 29 Oct 2003 18:17 - 2621 of 23498

Evening Socs,
PDL aka "The Gem" is basically a risky diamond venture that the three of us believe in and have been involved in for 2+ years.

Its not for me to advise BUT if it all comes off or even half of it does well there's going to be big smackeroonies to be made.

Will it happen?, in truth, "who knows" but IF.............

Jeffs legs? my God, desperation or what; no marmite on them but possibly Tetley's Finest drppings...

Socrates - 29 Oct 2003 18:24 - 2622 of 23498

lw
Thanks, now it all makes sense. Interesting charts for PDL but I'm not really into diamond plays since my first went wrong, I only bought one and ended up married! Mind you, she's a gem so no harm done.

Please don't mention Marmite, it's the stuff nightmares taste like.

little willie - 29 Oct 2003 18:28 - 2623 of 23498

Good idea to get your gem serviced occassionally as the setting sometimes work loose.
All these gems need cleaning up and repolishing as they get older!!!!!!

hilary - 29 Oct 2003 19:17 - 2624 of 23498

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Petra's up.

;-))

Socrates - 29 Oct 2003 21:08 - 2625 of 23498

It's about time she got out of bed, lazy girl!
