Envesta Telecom (EVS)

paulbrooks71 - 19 Jan 2005 12:17

Have a look at todays news threads for EVS, great first half results, important acquisition announced, more exciting news promised in February. Up 25% so far today.

Whether EVS has any potential is a personal opinion. I don't think they have much potential at all.

The cheap call market is extremely crowded. It has large numbers of players who are much cheaper than EVS. The calling card business is also very cut throat. I see shops selling 5 calling cards at 3.50 these days to shift them.

If you travel on the Tube these days you are bombarded by large and small adverts for cheap calling services. You could easily produce a long list of cheap calling companies that are much cheaper than EVS's CCR service.

A big drawback to CCR's service is the methodology where you have to register every number that you want to call.

I would suggest that everytime the farm labourer turns up just keep posting this:

The forcasts for EVS are:

Year ending 30 June 2005: EPS 0.33p, PE 12.17
Year ending 30 June 2006: EPS 0.64p, PE 6.36, growth 91.39%

Haystack - 10 May 2005 15:40 - 263 of 305

EVS has just dropped in price.

Two more MMs just dropped their prices. Two MMs now on 4p and one on 3.95p and one on 3.85p. That's 3 MMs down today.

Plenty of selling coming in now.

Haystack - 10 May 2005 15:41 - 264 of 305

Forecasts are just that. They can be out above or BELOW.

Haystack - 10 May 2005 15:45 - 265 of 305

I think you posted that just now. It looks the same.

grevis2 - 10 May 2005 15:51 - 266 of 305

Reposting the same three lines does not make a very good thread. It doesn't increase the validity of your post and is a bit pointless.

Grevis

I have filtered Haystack, due to the repetitive nature of his posts. If you have a look over the other side you will note that he has done exactly the same thing. I am afraid that he seems to take pleasure in 'bashing' many stocks, EVS being a favoutite at the moment and all he posts is SPAM. Your call, but to preserve whatever sensible posts are made on this thread, I would humbly suggest that you do likewise.

PTH

EVS is down again now.

One MM on 3.95 and three on 3.85p.

grevis2 - 10 May 2005 17:51 - 272 of 305

EVS stock will recover from these levels. The fundamentals are still strong. Their management consists of top men from within the telecom's industry and to date theyve not let us down. Were simply suffering from boredom due to the lack of any significant announcements.

We know their brokers have a high opinion of this stock and have forecast a substantial increase in earnings over the next year or two. This has brought in Legal and General and the Strathclyde Pension Fund, both of whom now have a notifiable stake.

When the price turns the MMs will restrict stock, as weve so often witnessed, and the price will go sky high once again. This is illustrated by the speed with which FMJ shot up this afternoon on comparatively small volume. Keep the faith and tuck away a few EVS before the next move forward occurs. Dont let the farm labourer and his other alias get you down. Good luck!

I have no aliases. I post exclusively under one user name.

EVS is worrying particularly with no news from the company. Haystack could have a point.

tangle - 12 May 2005 19:49 - 275 of 305

HI all, thought I'd pop in here and see what the EVS thread was like compared to the one on the "other side".

Been accumilating these bit by bit since early Dec last year when they were about 2p. Medium to long term hold I feel these will do me quite nicely thank you very much. AIMHO.

What a shame your thread has been infiltrated by a certain person, good luck guys, your gonna need to be strong and not get ground down.

Wish you all the very best.

grevis2 - 13 May 2005 16:16 - 276 of 305

Despite the nonsense from our derampers, it's hard to overlook the fact that two large Financial Institutions have taken a 3% plus stake in recent weeks and at prices well above today's closing levels. Now the CEO has given a signal that all is ship shape at EVS, so what more do you all want before taking the plunge. This company is growing and has a projected forward PE of around 6. The stock price has fallen along with the rest of the AIM market and not for any other reason. Derampers will try to convince that this stock has further to fall but they fail to provide any logical reason for their predictions. EVS will go higher sooner rather than later. This stock has a good following but there are still a few nervous holders pulling it back for the moment. Buyers are out there but as some have said, they are waiting for a sign that the bottom has been reached. The trouble is that when it does start to move ahead, the MMs will start their usual antics of restricting the flow of stock. Don't get caught out by dithering for too long. If you believe in this stock then tuck a few away before the price goes ballistic again. Good luck!

Tenereds - 13 May 2005 16:43 - 279 of 305

Hi,

Topped up again at these prices albeit only a further 15,000 shares.

Looking forward to company's trading update in June/July with much interest.

Keep in there!

grevis2 - 13 May 2005 16:44 - 280 of 305

Tenereds: Well done! Managed to get an extra 50K myself. Good day for those who are made of the right stuff.
