The very best of luck to you!!
I think the cheese may be a little closer than you think, though.
I base this on an apparantly honest statement that nevertheless does mention commercialization, JV's and increased staffing in the year to come.

Why is it when everyone wants a "greener" world most of the "green" shares perform so badly

Not everyone does want a so-called 'greener' world, robin. Those who do have the biggest mouths, thats all, and they usually have an ulterior motive - i.e. money. 'Green' is big business (though not for Stanelco, unfortunately!!!) in the same way as 'organic' is. People are at last realising the organic movement was a con - the same thing will happen eventually with the green movement.
Most so-called 'green' people appear to want to save this planet whilst living on a completely different one.
Whilst I'm on my soap-box, there is a great video here on climate change which exposes the myths most people are too happy to believe - a great number of scientists do not believe climate chamge is man-caused, but the media dont report anything other than the opinions of the doom and gloomers!
Speech over.

Alan, I agree that the RNS was an honest reflection, at last, of where the company is now but there are too many similarities with previous announcements which say things like:-
" we expect continued good progress in the Group's main businesses."
We've been expecting that for a long time now.
"we remain confident that the resources are in place to improve our business
performance over time. When we achieve profitability we should have substantial
protection from taxation due to the ability to offset prior years' losses."
At least they are not saying "we are selling to WalMart, McDonalds, Sainsbury, M&S" But after all this time they SHOULD be! I sincerely hope that their present sales team are able to pull something out of the bag for SEO but until I see active advertising on a HUGE scale, which is painfully absent at present, I do not have as much faith that the company, quote, "are looking for new opportunities to increase its critical mass quickly." emphasis on the "quickly"!
I will, however, be looking for opportunities to increase my holding as and when I feel that real progress is being made.

Glad I didn't lose any sleep over this. All very much as expected for a change.
I'm quite impressed with the clarity and apparent openness of the results. Certainly a refreshing change from the old "SEO speak".

What would really inspire confidance would be directors, digging into their own pockets and buying some shares.
I think I'll hold onto my spare cash a bit longer and see if PM et al put their own money where their fat gobs are.......so to speak.

Further to my previous post...I should have known that on results it would have dropped...damn it...each time a company reports the sp's dive...good kick myself for forgetting that and should have come in this morning at .6p...!

Had a chance to read the RNS in full now. Nothing very encouraging, IMO. SEO looks set to just tread water for at least several years, if not forever.
One item stands out on the balance sheet and that is the sum for promissory notes - over 5m. Does anyone know what they're for and who the beneficiary is?
