THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Are interest rates really the big issue from the Fed today? Surely rates aren't the issue (nobody expects any change), and the market is going to be far more interested in what he's got to say about tapering QE sooner rather than later, especially given the recent rhetoric by some of those close to him.

And if you're worried about equity markets, I'd personally be as equally (if not more) concerned about failing Abenomics and the fact that the average tenure of the last 10 Japanese PMs is 419 days.

cynic - 19 Jun 2013 08:53 - 26227 of 81564

i take it you're also in favour of all the following ......
birching or flogging with cat-o-ninetails for more serious misdemeanours
public pillory for fairly minor infringements of the legal code
chopping off of limbs or other parts for theft - in public after full-time at footy stadia i guess
hang, draw and quarter for most serious offenses

Cynic it isn't all that long ago that they used to chop peoples hands of if they committed theft - (right hand if right handed and visa versa) in Saudi for stealing, am I correct?

TANKER - 19 Jun 2013 09:13 - 26229 of 81564

the world is in a mess because of DOGOODERS if dogooders are so concerned about
these scum then go out in the streets and reform them but they will not .
libs are what they are not in my back garden

TANKER - 19 Jun 2013 09:14 - 26230 of 81564

an eye for an eye SAUDI AS IT CORRECT

cynic - 19 Jun 2013 09:33 - 26231 of 81564

3m - to the best of my knowledge it remains a popular alternative to the forbidden cinema after prayers on friday evening! ...... stoning for adultery is probably more of a "cup final" event ...... big difference is that tickets are free and unlimited

hey, MrT, how about letting us know if you would be in favour of my suggested punishments for assorted misdemeanours ..... you've rather ducked the direct answer - no chance of ducking in the pillory though

Haystack - 19 Jun 2013 10:01 - 26232 of 81564

cynic
What about limb removal for posting aggressive and racist comments?

cynic - 19 Jun 2013 10:07 - 26233 of 81564

hands for written incitement; tongue for verbal!

TANKER - 19 Jun 2013 10:25 - 26234 of 81564

criminals should pay the price .and it should be done on Saturday afternoons at football games to tell the world crime will not pay .
that is the answer . Kuwaiti is correct in the way they deal with crime we should do the same .
hope that tells you my views

3 monkies - 19 Jun 2013 10:42 - 26235 of 81564

Tanker dear, we have known your views for years. We all have views but certainly wouldn't voice them all on here. It is extremely dangerous but you don't listen.

TANKER - 19 Jun 2013 11:07 - 26237 of 81564

over 78% of the british public want the death sentence back and would vote for it

Haystack - 19 Jun 2013 11:12 - 26238 of 81564

True, but they will not get it. The majority of civilised countries have abandoned the death penalty or are heading that way. It is a trend that will not be reversed.

TANKER - 19 Jun 2013 11:25 - 26239 of 81564

the police can shoot to kill .so the death sentence is still in the uk
it is more evil to allow a murderer to kill another human .and let him live

goldfinger - 19 Jun 2013 11:42 - 26240 of 81564

I notice the advfn boys are keeping the gold and siver thread at the top.

Looked like Hays had a run in with a advfner on BLNX thread other day.

Reckon more will migrate here, that white list that skinny posted here other day is not run very well over the road. epic is URL.

Just hoping I can get PMqs over here. Not so sure with BBC.

3 monkies - 19 Jun 2013 11:47 - 26242 of 81564

goldfinger - 19 Jun 2013 11:56 - 26243 of 81564

All booked up at moment while Feb next year, but if any withdrawals no problems, thats for all online buddies aswel.

3 monkies - 19 Jun 2013 11:59 - 26244 of 81564
