Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

just all rather typical of current unpredictable and somehwat illogical markets - now -140 for no good reason other than a breather

Is Hays on same planet as us cyners?.

i'm certain that what he posted is true ...... i'm on a different time zone - no, not planet! -so didn't really follow the market's gyrations, but certainly there have been some very volatile days of late ..... anyway, despite ultimately dumping 200 points, dow still sits at 15,100
the market needs to correct every now and again in whichever direction it is generally headed ...... tonight, the underlying news can scarcely be described as bad, and indeed, rather the opposite

At the time the Dow was flat. It was down 20, which is pretty flat.

5 mins before it was -80 and 5mins after it was -80.
Now -206.
Think you trying to squeeze out of a corner Hays given your posts after my post 26263....... never mind.
No probs.

If it was -80 that is pretty flat for the Dow. Certainly NOT, "immediatly TANKS down" as your post said.

Stop fudging Hays.
Youd argue against a scabby donkey.

Bring back Greenspan. (still alive ?)
When he spoke everything went upwards not down.

That's why Ben is going to go before he acts.

Don't forget the market crashed three times on Greenspan's watch as chairman of the Fed. He is currently a private advisor to companies. He certainly did very little in the build up to each of the three recessions to contain the market.

Agreed, Greenspan was a businessman and the market likes these kinds of ignorants, as they can benefit from such guy in power.
That's unfortunate world we live in! It is managed by businessmen rather than REAL humans.

I think it's pretty unlikely that ALL businessmen have 3 eyes, Spock ears and an elephant's nose, ahoj. You'll probably find that most businessmen are actually human.

Most are human but, what about those who have power and money !!! Are they?
