THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Are you referring to Osborne's and Cameron's pedigrees?

Fred1new - 21 Jun 2013 12:04 - 26286 of 81564

I don't think they came from a kennel of economists.

"Government borrowing rose in 2012-13, ONS figures show

Chancellor George Osborne is hoping a reviving UK economy will reduce the budget deficit faster
Government borrowing rose slightly in 2012-13 compared with the previous year, figures from the Office for National Statistics show.

Underlying public sector borrowing was £118.8bn, up from £118.5bn in 2011-12.

The rise comes as a result of the ONS revising down its 2011-12 borrowing figure by £2.4bn to £118.5bn."

I wonder who he will try to blame this time.

Haystack - 21 Jun 2013 14:09 - 26287 of 81564

As the rise is because the previous figures were revised down, this may mean that there has not been a rise when this year's figures are revised.

I think the rich will transfer their money to safer countries. So house prices in the US and UK will rise further. Otherwise no change, see this:

Interest rates rising in US.

Not long now before they do here.

Been warning about this for last few months.

No doubt Hays will argue that they wont rise just like his fudge the other night on the Dow sell off. LOL.

goldfinger - 21 Jun 2013 15:32 - 26293 of 81564

Cynic so much for our joint analysis this morning LOL LOL LOL.

The markets are really spooked.

Haystack - 21 Jun 2013 17:42 - 26294 of 81564

Most analysts expect our interest rates to rise much slower than the US and not this year.

The Dow needs to drop maybe to 13,000.

Fred1new - 21 Jun 2013 18:39 - 26295 of 81564

dreamcatcher - 21 Jun 2013 20:38 - 26300 of 81564

Just been for one of them tours around the set of Coronation Street. I couldn't believe how dedicated the cast were to bringing in their real life experiences to provide some credibility to the characters they play.

Or at least that's what I thought when I saw Kevin Webster working on a 13 year old Escort in his garage

Haystack - 21 Jun 2013 20:46 - 26301 of 81564

13 is a bit young to be an escort!!!!!
