THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Just been for one of them tours around the set of Coronation Street. I couldn't believe how dedicated the cast were to bringing in their real life experiences to provide some credibility to the characters they play.

Or at least that's what I thought when I saw Kevin Webster working on a 13 year old Escort in his garage

Haystack - 21 Jun 2013 20:46 - 26301 of 81564

13 is a bit young to be an escort!!!!!

cynic - 21 Jun 2013 21:34 - 26302 of 81564

it was a very simple message i gave you sticky, but clearly too many long words for you, like at airport in dubai; not back here again until november - or along those lines

anyway, now back in uk

goldfinger - 21 Jun 2013 22:15 - 26303 of 81564

Cyners.....aghhhh at last captain, read your last post again.

Even for you squiffy, bad form. Been on beach all day and had a few drinks.

Anyway captain, we made a balls of our earlier analysis today, but mind at least we have the balls to predict.

A lot would be suprised how many hang onto coat-tails.

Across road full of it.

Funnily enough get on very well with boss over their Clem on Twitter, seems a decent type.

I still stick after early volatility 6200 to 6400 most of summer.

Have a good weekend captain, back wed from Rhodes.

Doh!

Ed Miliband admits: We won’t reverse cuts if we win in 2015

In a speech to his party’s national policy forum about the “hard reality” a Labour government would face, Mr Miliband will say: “We won’t be able to promise now to reverse them because we can only do so when we can be absolutely crystal clear about where the money is coming from.”

cynic - 22 Jun 2013 12:09 - 26314 of 81564

everyone has been berating the new "111" system, but my own experience just this morning was a really pleasant eye-opener

i brought back from dubai some sort of silly respiratory infection ..... as we are off on jolly hols next friday, it seemed sensible to get it checked out ...... very efficient 111 "receptionist" took a whole raft of necessary particulars nd told me a doc would phone me back ..... this he did within about 20 minutes and gave me an appt at 11:36 at wycombe general.

get there; appt on time; nothing of concern (as expected), so home again by end of first half.

Stan - 22 Jun 2013 12:19 - 26315 of 81564

Conclusion: Assuredly cynic has now been put down as an NHS time waster.. and quit rightly in my impartial view -):

cynic - 22 Jun 2013 13:12 - 26316 of 81564

i confess i did feel somewhat guilty as i was certain is wasn't any desperate .... but then 111 is defined as being for NON emergency ..... has we not been going on hol next week for sure I'ld have waited until monday for normal surgery hours
