I'm interested to see that Shares likes Stratex (STI) amongst the penny picks - haven't looked at for a while, but when last I heard they were finding loads of promising gold veins in Turkey.

soul traders - 21 Aug 2006 15:20 - 270 of 934

Renesola (SOLA) !!!

Up 50% in a week, quarterly results out today announcing big profit increase. Production of silicon wafers being ramped up quickly; will more than double over coming six months.

This one has already left the launch-pad, just got in myself. Won't say any more as you can all DYOR and draw your own conclusions.

My active stocks at the moment GTL should go into the production of ethanol this Q4, ERX expecting news before the end of year on drug compounds. And GOO waiting on results of drilling.

There does look like there is confidence in the stock yesterday punters where buying plenty of 40k to 80ks worth.

soul traders - 07 Sep 2006 08:58 - 279 of 934

Morning all.

Driver, this may be a mild ramp, for which I apologise in advance, but my mystery stock from yesterday is ETS (Elite Strategies), which was basically a shell until recent events began to unfold. They are in the process of an RTO of their sole investment, Retec, which is winning contracts and trials hand over fist with major retailers and it seems to me that the momentum is set to increase.

A fundraising is also taking place which will assist the new company in its expansion.

Lots more juicy info is available from all the usual sources. I'm in this as of this morning for play-money at the moment. Felt like a punt on something that's not dependent upon striking oil, as well as being away from the herd at present. Needless to say I found it on ADVFN . . . . :o)

The spread is affordable too: ETS Bid: 4p Offer: 4.25p Not bad for a co with mkt cap of 3 mil (6 mil after forthcoming corporate actions).

PDYOR and have fun!

ST.

ETS has been on my watch list all year, I like what they do the problem I have with the stock is, it moves on news like most bit then drifts back then weeks with very small volume. That was my reason for not buying but still watching having said that you could be onto a winner.
I put SCO (SCOTTY GRP) in that same group it follows the same pattern.

You really should get some ser.

soul traders - 07 Sep 2006 09:16 - 281 of 934

"You really should get some ser."

I wish you hadn't said that - got me looking at the furniture, the TV, the goldfish, etc trying to decide what I can sell to pay for it!

I agree that ETS is possibly a rocky ride, however, a mildly optimistic view suggests that the bottom may have been reached, more or less, and if they continue winning contracts at the pace they have been, the woes of the past will be forgotten. I.e. if they land another contract or two the size of Sainsbury's (5 mil a year for three years), or anything similar.

At the end of the day I felt like a gamble, and for the size of my stake I won't be shedding too many tears. I'm more upset about the goldfish . . .

Obviously I can make no guarantees about the share price, but for the company itself I think the upturn is well on the way.

It's really is like SCO the day after an announcement and ETS and SCO have no trades at 0924 it says it all, I don't think the punters have woken up to these two companies thats why I dont hold either but would like to.
