I think plastic bags and cartons etc, must eventuallly decay, as I haven't seen any plastic bags or containers more than a hundred years old.

Heres the latest (early March) on the fag butts.

I'm copying a post from PM1's site - I'm sure he won't mind. On the face of it, a reply from Paul Mines on the subject.

'jeffwh

Filters
Hi Paul,

I sent a general enquiry this morning to Head Office asking them if any matter concerning the Filter technology would be appearing in the results due in 10 days time.
I received the following reply from Mr Mines

Jeff,

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Re the cigarette filter technology, my own view is that will take significant resources and time to validate whether the technology is viable and to bring it to market.

At present we have other priorities and are working more actively in other areas.

Regards

Paul

When the time is right and resources and costs allow then we may see a further development, in the meantime Mr Mines and his hard working team are as he says, "working more actively in other areas" hence the shift in investor confidence these past few days.
May they continue the good work.'

Thanks Oblomov--it's good they haven't given up on it.

I would have expected the share to steadily tick up towards the AGM.
It would appear that either the mm's are holding out or theres just no confidence left even by the day traders.
Hopefully will be at the AGM subject to missus letting me off lease unsupervised.
:-)

Speaking of the AGM - I'll be there. This is a picture of me at last years so if anyone sees me say hello.

greekman - 15 Apr 2008 17:50 - 26362 of 27111

OB,

Did you need the straight jacket prior to the AGM opening or was it required after you lost your rag at the Management.

oblomov - 15 Apr 2008 18:41 - 26363 of 27111

I thought it was standard shareholder issue, greek. Haven't you got one?

PATISEAR - 15 Apr 2008 19:41 - 26364 of 27111

Is that your own hair!!!!

hehehehehehehee

oblomov - 15 Apr 2008 19:45 - 26365 of 27111

It certainly is - I bought it with my own money!

greekman - 16 Apr 2008 11:10 - 26366 of 27111

The problem is the standard issue straight jacket from Stanelco had straps that were made of some sort of new plastic, so guess what happened.
The one I bought privately has been customized somewhat for special nights in with the wife, but I wont go into that.
But seriously, I am looking forward to the AGM reports from those attending, as at 200 plus miles away from the venue it won't be worth me attending.

halifax - 16 Apr 2008 11:29 - 26367 of 27111

Looks more like David Cameron trying to fight his way out of a plastic bag!

boldtrader - 16 Apr 2008 12:23 - 26368 of 27111

re agm, cant see your logic there greekman.Cheers.

greekman - 16 Apr 2008 12:35 - 26369 of 27111

Hi boldtrader,

The reason re not attending from such a distance is I only have a very small amount invested in SEO, so not worth the travel.

boldtrader - 16 Apr 2008 14:28 - 26370 of 27111

Cheers Greekman. personally,I have been with SEO since 2001 on/off, in/out,but always had some holding in all that time, caught on the slide and now not a fortune of money held but a reasonable amount of shares, enough to return a comfortable amount if,IF they ever hit 5p. I believe this is still a good 2 way call.
Never attended an agm, i also live many miles from the capital but I'am toying with the idea of travelling to London(relations and a bed) and seeing/hearing for myself what the old SEO is really all about!! Good luck to you and all long term holders. Cheers.

jaguar121 - 17 Apr 2008 10:37 - 26372 of 27111

There is more to this than just carrier bags its the whole packaging issue

tweenie - 17 Apr 2008 10:50 - 26373 of 27111

In case you were curious as to uses.

http://www.aisa.com/aisa_pth1.html

Won't be buying anymore but await the agm a bit more relaxed.
Still no sales,
so still not confidant enought to pour more cash in.

hewittalan6 - 17 Apr 2008 10:55 - 26374 of 27111

Is this a customer??????
If so I am off to invest in producers of smelling salts, to revive shell shocked shareholders.

garyble - 17 Apr 2008 11:05 - 26375 of 27111

I would hazard a guess that they're both a customer and "partner"....have collaberated to develope a product and will now have to sell it. Bioplast is the raw material required/desired by the "partner".

hangon - 17 Apr 2008 13:07 - 26376 of 27111

Curious what with plastic being "bad" and recycling a real issue, yet even now these dullards cannot secure any sales . . . . . . what a shambles ( as AS would say): You're Fired!
It has been a long-while - so don't let anyone suggest this is a "new business" that needs time etc., etc.

Boldtrader, the agm is usually well attended, but make sure you are on the Register (or have a Broker-Note), they spend a lot of effort trying to exclude folk - yet this has to be one of the worst investments I've made.
If I can, I'll try to attend - Grr!
